@all, my next resto project is a Matchless G3L 1953, 350CC with spring frame. If anybody is heading to UK in the near future would appreciate (if possible) grab 2 matchless stickers for the tool boxes and one for the oil container. I also need a pair of knee guards. Would cost around a Stg each for the stickers and about 5 for a pair of rubber knee guards

When you called I was outdoors and standing close to a huge generator making a lot of noise. As for the parts, I suggest that you order the parts online giving your home address....you can pay by credit card online. Thats what we also do as nowadays it is not easy to find people who would bring parts for you. It is also more convenient to book them online.

BEWARE! Somebody stole my Speed Twin's sidecar from 'Road Runners workshop in DHA, Karachi. I have good reason to believe that it was not stolen but sold by someone in the workshop to a guy who was after my life to let him copy my sidecar for his Speed Twin and I had told my denter to let him take pics and measurements. This guy has a shop on Jamshed Road.

fabricated a new sidecar in one day.....thank goodness I had another one that I could use as a sample.

sorry to hear abt the sidecar. but the newly fabricated one isnt lookin bad at all. n fabricated in just one day (Y)

I wish it was the 250 GT Lusso but it isn't. Wahid will bring his F1 360 Modena...I paid the guy extra to make it one day....I had a sample inner frame which helped them copy it quickly and have made an identical copy.

hallelujah... behold the mini pics... some issue still left but can be dealt with without much discomfort....the speedo doent work.. the electrician has not wired teh new electric fan... the bonnet pull has been left.. all issues to blacmail further... two years in the restoration but the first drive was worth it... engine still tight but give it a few days.... engine pics later

congrats,mini is on the road..
I know this car from ages...Registered in my city "Sahiwal".As you know that I belong to Sahiwal,cousin of your class fellow Sardar Ubaid..
If I am not wrong,This car was in red and in pretty good condition.A car dealer of "Motor craft" bought it from sahiwal and brought it to Lahore.Previous owner felt bad after selling this car and tried to buy it again but could not(I know him) because it was already sold by that dealer probably to the present owner Kamran Bhai...
I drove it once when it was with the dealer,lovely original car..
once again congrats on completion of the mini project.

congrats on ur mini gettin done. it is looking very superb indeed. my friend had a 60's mini too. hes sold it now. i also got one for a few days sometime back. it needed a complete resto. didnt hav the time or the capital for the resto so sold it. i love minis. n urs is lookin very very nice. congrat again...

Kamran - the Mini pics have made my day! The interior especially is wonderful. Could do with some more authentic license plates, in my humble opinion. Congratulations. I will need to return to Lahore sooner than anticipated now that this is back on the road!

Thanks a lot everybody. there are a few teething problems to be sorted out.

The car initially belonged to Brig Syed Akram and was obtained by the motorcraft man.... . Bought it from him.

The cars plates certainly need to be done. I just wanted the car out of the workshop yesterday.

He also wanted to sell me a Porsche 911 targa 1979 in red... wanted 2 million for it. I politely declined.... especially as teh car seemed to have welding just below the A pillars.. gone boat shaped.

I'm no Mini expert but that interior looks like its come off a Riley Elf, rather than a Cooper.
