I know the DIR family very well. These cars belong to late Nawab Khusro Khan of DIR who was the eldest son of the Nawab of DIR Sir Shah Jehan Khan. The 2 sons of Nawab Khusro Khan - Nasir Khan and Saleem Khan are also dead. Currently the Nawab's widow and Saleem Khan's son lives in the house. Currently he drives an XLi and a black Lancer. After the Govt. took control of the state in 60's, Nawab Sir Shah Jehan Khan and Khusro Khan were moved to Lahore and lived in FCC/Gulberg. The Buick is now in Islamabad with a former son-in-law of Dr. Qadeer Khan - Saad Zameer in E-7.

Well done Cateyez!accurate and complete info. Nawab Nasir's two surviving children live in Islamabad. Perhaps some info may be gleaned from them? Tariq and Sophie.
I also seem to remember an early to mid 60s black Buick saloon. Any idea where that car may be? A black 1963 Buick pillarless 4 door with Salman (Bakewell) looks familiar..any connection? Nawab Nasir drove my dad and I to Peshawar once, many many moons ago. Very faint memories of the black vehicle.. I must have been ten or twelve years old.

Yes the show was a great success and would have to be one of our best if not the best show we have had so far. The turnout was fantastic and the public response very encouraging. What was irritating was the fact that some people felt it was perfectly alright to get into the cars and start fingering with switches and buttons and turning the steering wheel from side to side as if they were attempting to visualise themselves on some race track. Quite amusing when the car turns out to be something from the 1920's or 30's. Unfortunately my idiot of a driver hit one of my cars on the way out at the end of the show but the damage was minimal and the car is under wraps and out of sight till necessary repairs are carried out.

Really sorry to hear about that.What happened exactly did the car tail out and which one of your beauties was it?
Also I heard someone else also scrapped their car I think it was the light blue mustang.

Thank you all for your support and good wishes. I am happy that you all enjoyed the show....those who missed can have a complimentary dvd from me in a couple of weeks time.

Wrapping up the show was another massive task....we were tired and beaten up....cars started misbehaving....Charger wouldn't start, Frogeye lost all electricals - would't start, self starters of my Healey and Mustang packed up on the show day, Jag Mk VII battery went dead, '53 Cadillac almost caught fire on the way back...I saw Wahid's guy driving the car frantically trying to get the terminal off the battery and shouting for a plier :)...I heard the Isetta broke down on Sunset blvd., the dark blue Mustang lost its drive (almost) it was just enough to drive it back home slowly, red E-Type Jaguar after doing some great doughnuts went out of the parking and lost the power and engine died down...perhaps fuel pump stopped working....blah! blah! this all happened after the show...

It was good to meet some pf the Pakwheelers, sorry I could n't stay put in one place and couldn't really meet them properly....specially KhakiMB and Shuja. Thanks also to Qasim and Romano for all their help and coming over from Islamabad to see the show....

Yet again i missed another VCCCP show.It must have been great, but the pictures posted till now unfortunately dont do justice.
I read a post of yours a couple of days ago saying that a SS camaro would also come, didnt see that or Javed Ansari's Bel-Air not even the 68' Mustang, What about the dark blue 65 convt. Mustang? didnt see that either....

Also PLEASE, COULD I BE ON THE LIST FOR THE DVD?

i had wanted to stik around till the end of the show, but sadly cos of my early flight next morning(which i am regretting like anything now) id to leave, and also cos my freinds were insisting that we go hav dinner sumwhere...
it was a pleasure to be with mohsin bhai thru most of last week and at the show....i would also like to add that mjabbasi is absolutely right abt ppl fiddling with the cars, i myself had 2 shoo away a lot of ppl away from mohsin bhai's mustang.
if only i had been there at the end of the show mohsin bhai, i wudv helpd around, im sorry i cudnt..
if fate wishes me well, i shall be arranging the whole thnig with u at karachi next year..inshaAllah.
n now the cars...the powder blue comaro was...unbelievable, a time machine(im not a camaro fan..remember?)...mj abbasi's t-bird..well i have no words4 the car...
the most underrated car on the show was the 69 corvette..the silver-1..not the ghastly 82 black with added exhasts...the purest of the sharkshaped corvettes was there and wasnt given due respect.
mohsin bhai....i volunteer to do the logistics and event mechanics next time!
it was great 2 see jim agha after a whole year:)
but hats off to mohsin bhai...on yet again proving the maestro that he is!

and id also like to mention the 76 bmw 3.0 CSI...
SIMPLY AMAZING...the most desirable Bmw coupe in my book..and MAN was it pristine...i apologize to the owner 4 not knowing who he/she is...but dude...whoever it is...amazing job!

Good God, all those mishaps must have happened after I left the show and here I am complaining about a 4 inch long scratch at the bottom rear fender of my Lincoln!!

The owner of the bimmer a Friend of my father for the last so Many years just came and parked his cars there in the morning and left his son was there all day. I'll be sure to pass on your message!
The red Tran-Am 74 mint condition was also his.
