Are the names W114 / W115 used interchangeably? Wiki-ing around gives me the impression that the W114 was the coupe and the W115 was the sedan, is this true? Also, since we take wikipedia with a grain of salt any way, the engine listing may be a bit skewed as well.

thanks, the badge on the bonnet and the chinese writing on the number plate gave it away, also i,m a member of a toyota enthusiasts club and remember the badge of the early toyota's. (Y) (H)

ps i'm restoring a w114. the difference between a w114 and w115 i think is that the w115 is a revised version of the w114, changes to front doors, no 1/4 glass on w115, steering wheel center chrome on w114 an rubber on w115 etc. hope you under stand what i'm trying to say.

In the Mercedes series the W 115 were the four cylinder cars and the W 114 were the six cylinder models, both with the same body shape.
Since therte was no four cylinder coupe they ( Coupe ) were 114 by default.
If this was not confusing enough these cars (1968 -1976) were also referred to as /8 series.
Good solid cars and in my opinion the best "neo classics" available in Pakistan with an abundant part supply both old, used and new, allowing you to structure your restoration to your pocket and technical competence

a car was posted on this thread some months ago and that is a car to rescue and put back on road....It's a special edition Pontiac Transam 1978 lying somewhere on Bath Island Road, Karachi. If you know someone in Islamabad / Pindi, pursue the rotting Plymouth Barracuda lying outside a house. It's shape is quite similar to the 71 Charger that you posted.

ive been to bath island quite a few times and have been roaming around there but never have i come across a Transam there...

ive seen one near my house(defense phase 4) since childhood. but the person refuses to sell the car...

dunno why he still has it havent seen any restoration on it since the past 10 yrs!

I think alvis is good because muscle car parts are not available here easily, Mercedes is a classic and easier to maintian then a muscle car (First time I am changingin lanes sorry Mohsin) :),

The Jeep identified by you on page 365 is an M38. The one shown by Shujjah is an MB which came with a split window. MB's were made both by Ford and Willys (Ford had the letter 'f' stamped on most parts). I believe the split in this case will be installed after the glass is cut to size. I just arrived a few days ago and would like to share a few pics i took in Karachi during the car show. It was great fun to see so many amazing cars in one location!!!!

Looks like a Packard 110 saloon from 1942
