Thats a 1961 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 Roadster - one owner car owned by Mr. Naeem Malik. Sparingly used throught its 48 years life and must be one of the lowest mileage E-types in the world.

actually its not a cortina..cortina were the cars that were buit in the UK. This car is a Ford Taunaus.. it is American..probably 72 to 74.. the cortina is famous for its coke bottle like cut near the trunk.. the taunus doesnt have it..

hehehe, i know how u feel but i think its better to see things like that before going to a bore meeting, apart from that I was watching NHRA drag racing, and all the drivers were young like you :), you can be the perfect contender for rear mounted 2000 hp engine dragster :), I can imagine you in a fireproof dragster racing outfit with anderline pumping in your blood if u want to check 800 + CU engines then check out http://www.fultoncompetition.com/ it will blew your mind

not into dragster engines as they are prepared for short spurts. I like a muscle big block V8 - love the sound and teh vibrations...thrilling stuff. On Sunday I was driving alongside Ahsan in the Mustang and I really enjoyed the V8 burble of the 289.

I'm more of a NASCAR-style motor fan. High revs and a scraming V8 melody. AFAIK, the 289 is good for making high revs. It's only the heads that let it down, so the engine can't breathe higher up. Here's a nice video of classic 'Stangs going at it at Sandown.

thnx for the great video. I wonder how different would the K code engine be with 4 valve head on 289's rather than 2 valve head as on my car.

The 4 valve (or venturi - for the 4 barrel carb) heads that you're talking about probably would give you a gain in power, but it will be all up. As far as I've been able to tell off the internet, some people modify Cleveland heads to mount on Windsor blocks - the 289.

If it were my car though, I'd probably go for a complete turnkey package from any of the high performance suppliers, like Edelbrock. They do a head that gives 367 BHP / and 340 lb-ft (on the 302). It is quite pricey, but it's got everything except the carburettor - figure on a couple of hundred extra for the carby.

For a stickler for originality, this probably isn't the way to go however.

i considered all these options on my car last summer, the edelbrock kit and all turnkey engine options will be pointless till you have a compatible transmission, The 3 speed manual in mohsin sb's mustang or c-4 will find it hard to tango with the 4v cylinder heads or slightly higher spec engines. For that reason maybe ford supplied the k code, 271hp, 289ci mustangs with a 4 forward gearbox.

Add another few $000's on the tranny aswell along with the $1800 on the kit and about $360 for the edelbrock 600cfm performer series carb. Which is the exact match for this combination.

Duties and taxes would sum up to something like a total of 125% if you bring it through the authorities.

Also mohsin sb is Hashwani's mustang a k code any idea's also Romano told me that they have a 69-70 charger tucked in aswell?

Hashwani have 66 charger which is for me more beautiful than 68-70 charger, and it was belongs to Mohsin family , I heard its with 426 dual carb crate hemi engine

instead of 302 i think its better to put a 351 or 427 ram air if its fit in 65 or 66 body

Even though the idea of more power in the light chassis appeals to me, in my opinion the 351 and 427 would probably upset the balance of the car and the car wouldn't be as nimble. The 289/302 weigh 460 lbs while the 351 weighs 550lbs and the 427/429 weigh quite a bit above 600/650 lbs. Then you've got the transmission and brakes to upgrade as well.

I know Mohsin Sb. would prefer to keep his 'Stang in original condition as much as possible. However, the head + carb mod and the gearbox mod as per A1965 would probably be as near to stock as possible, while giving the car a new, rev-happy nature. Here's another video:
