Put your minds to rest, Folks, the photo of the then Squadron Leader F. S. Husain, has been lifted from my web album, I am the son of the late "FS" Husain. When we sold that car, we bought a 57 Cheverolet; Even the caption to the photo is from my album. I do not recall who bought good old '7117' but it was a beautiful machine in mint condition. Furthermore, I haven't visited anyone who has a Citroen; used to own an Ami6 myself in the early 70s in London! Why don't people give reference to where they lift the photos from?! I wonder?! Cheers

In all fairness, I think all of these limo/cabrios were modified - stretched and "de-roofed". Other than this Fiat, there were the Mareas and the Nissan Serena vans.

Hello KoolBlue1. Very nice of you to come in and add to the info. One mystery solved. Could you confirm that the registration KAM is from Karachi? This topic has been debated on and we have not fully concluded this.

I got this pic from someone who got it from the net, and so I credited what and where I knew. I do not search the web for such pictures, when passed on to me I do post where I feel relevant and of interest. That is why I had put up Lahore pics too.

If you have and share pictures of your 57 Chevy, it will be nice. Who knows, someone may recognise the car. This is all for the common interest in propagating a hobby. Hope you were not too offended, there was no intention to.

congratulations!!! what you have in your posession is perhaps one of the most desirable car that one can find in Pakistan. It looks like in much better condition than I had anticipated and look forward to see the car on the roads of Lahore soon.

A full resto may not even be required - a bit of tidying and detail work and you will have a true "survivor."
