I've read with great interest the MB that zwaraich wants to restore but sadly I've been totally out of touch with Lahore located restorer's for quite a few years now. However I will gladly help with any photographic or mempory details that he may require during the build. Buksh has already posted his willingness to help and he may be the best bet.

@hj2006...I am fine ,thanks.Spitfire is almost complete.the boot lid is complete with the understructure and the original lock.we tried its fitting with the rubber installed and it was perfect.I will post pics in a couple of days.Now we are working with the windscreen frame which was also rusted and most of the lip(where windscreen rubber fits)was absent due to rust.Any how now there are fair chances that it will go for painting in maximum 15 days..lol....

@hj2006.I have seen the pics of Mr.Zwaraich'merc.it seems to be in nice shape and there should not be much problems in its restoration.But I tell you one thing that these old beauties look good but once you dig in......

no, this car is still in Bahawalpur. This is the second Jaguar Mk V I have seen in Pakistan. The other one was in my ownership for over 10 years and was my regular transport....sadly credit cards menace saw it off.

@zwaraich .... I am also looking for a good one. Am acquiring a test car.... as I mentioned in an earlier post my idiot denter.... one of the best disaasemblers and assemblers of trim that I know has gone and gotten hooked on POT. Painting is not an issue. There are many good painters available. Trimmers... let me know when you want one.

the denter spends his life dreaming of the stars or whatever these guys dream about. This is why the chalenger has been delayed 3 years and the Mini is in mid air with two doors only needing work for the last two months.

I am in the process of acquiring another project vehicle... let you know about it when it happens. Slightly modern.. then I will be in a position to let you know otherwise.
