Saw a 2cv beside the parking lot of Iqra Uni, main campus. It was neatly restored but the color was awkward. Purplish red kinda shade.

Would it be possible for you to take pictures of the 2CV if you ever see it again?

p.s. I am in Islamabad & am dying to see the 2CV. Thanks in advance!

@wasifali89....................yes Gilallo Ocra is one of my favourite colours....in fact Tariq Saigols GTV was Gillo Ocra... only it has been converted to a Honda Civic metallic gray....but it has to be red

gery and white and not in that good condition

@poster , by any chance, did you happen to have a glance at its registeration number ? Though the pictures r clear and number plates are not there ...

That is a late twenties to early thirties Austin 7

Sure, an Austin Chummy, and highly likely to be of 1929 as tons of 1929 Austin Chummy's came to the sub-continent. In India there are lots of survivors. You will see the distributor mounted on the starter or dynamo, I forget which. And many body panels are aluminium.
But did you notice the Karmann-Ghia in the background in the third picture? Seems to be a later model because of the big tail lights, that car will make a very nice classic when restored. Worthy project.

Unfortunately pics of the rally's progress on a daily basis may not be possible till the end of the rally and that too if someone has a camera and took pics at all. I doubt if they will have internet access on the road and by the time they will reach Lahore and Islamabad, they will be too busy to sit down and upload and post pics.

They have made it to Sukkur and are setting off for Bahawalpur now. Mohsin had some issues with his Healey which I'm guessing has been fixed now but it seems his VW Microbus took it upon itself to lead the rally this morning and started and began moving by itself and Mohsin injured his foot when it got ran over.
