@reezvan, I do not know who took this picture but it is from around 1967 or 1968.
There is a spotlessly clean public transport bus in the background. These buses were gifted to the people of Karachi by the Swedish government when te Swedes changed their driving side to the right side of the road. This change took place in 1967 so I assume the pic is from after that time.

Mohsin, yes that is a Skoda 1000MB. Youre not getting old!

I remember the Aitchison College Hospital had two of these. One was the regular model but the new addition which came in 1966 was the one with the roof windows.
It was twin tone with white and an orangish colour. I remember it very well, as I rode many times in it to Dr Niazi the dentist in Gulberg Lahore.

As far as the bus in the video goes my comment is if someone likes it to spend that kind of money then good luck to him.Cars are very personal preferance items, so if he has the money and the passion for the car/bus who are we to sit in judgement.
It is a beautiful thing to look at!

The Vanishing Point car was a rough track racer, w/roll cage. This one is clean and unmarked.

Amazing 60's bus indeed. I was wondering if anyone in Pakistan collects or owns vintage buses or trucks as i haven't noticed those in VCCP shows or any other gatherings or web forums. Do tell if anyone here seen vintage buses, Caravans, Big trucks etc here.

@Alvis the spotlessly clean bus is painted in PIA colours of the time (note the yellow top for driving on the tarmac). Certainly not a public transport bus. I remember the Swedish Volvos, they were rear engined and had bigger windows that didnt open.

Was out in Paris with my brother over the new year, spotted an Autobianchi on one of our jaunts :

Those plastic buoys will not make the 'Bianchi "Seine-proof", but will give those lithe bumpers some well-earned respite from what passes for parking in Paris - "bumpers are there for bumping..."

A Welbike folding motorcycle. I have to make myself one of these, or find one in a junkyard and build it up. How cool would it be?

Saab 9-5. One car I've never seen on the road, but in the metal it looks absolutely imposing. With the black wheels, it'll look the absolute business. One last tear for the company that bought us the '99 Turbo, the 9-3 Viggen and the 9-3 Turbo-X. You'll be missed.

it was last in pindi, too far gone for a resto. i offered the guy a hefty sum (more than it was worth to ANYONE) and he said "i'm going to restore her",.. back then she had a diesel powerplant and you could see down from the roof to the road as rust had already eaten her.

glad he didn't accept my offer to be honest,.. it would have put me off cars forever!
