Thank goodness for people like Maureen Lines! If it wasnt for her dedication, those fire engines would still be in a state. She went around all the relevant Govt offices, and bullied/cajoled the babus to lend their cooperation. She was able to get a grant from the KPK govt, and Mohsin Ikram did the rest.
Why cant the average citizen out there get up and do these things. Where was the whole of the Peshawar 'auto enthusiast' crowd? Trust a 75 year old British lady to show them how its done!
The original fire brigade building (built 1912) is also in dire need of repair. Who will step forward and do the needful?
