Okay,I cannot believe I missed out on this thread.
My antiques are:
1936 W-136 Mercedes 170V (pics attached) and my Mercedes 1967 W108 (will take pics when back in lahore)

Yes,the show was hosted by Asphandyar Bhandara,it was the Muree Brewery Auto Show.
I had accompanied Baba,and I was present at the car show.
Baba bought this in 2001 or 2002, and we brought it to our Islamabad house in 2009
This is my second antique car, my first one is parked in the Lahore DHA House and it is a 1967 W108
This one (Mercedes 1936 W136 170V) was brought to Islamabad by Baba in 2009,when we had moved here briefly.

If are nearby to I-8 and the old 170V is up to it, why not bring it to the PW get together today in I-8 at the Habibi restaurant parking to celebrate PW's 11th birthday. It will add hugely to the event. I am certain it will be oldest car present:)

BTW, I thought you were living in Westridge. Tried your Baba's cell a few times but I think he may have changed his number.

Certainly share the pictures here. These pages of Pakwheels (VCCCP) are devoted to preserving and sharing of vintage and classic cars in this country. It is the nearest thing to cataloguing the same. Next time I meet Mohsin Ikram I'll put the idea forward to him to begin an official register of classic cars in this country. That will be interesting.

Visit Islambad F-11/4 Major Road. There is a mechanic who "restores" old iron. Vist him, he has a yard with old steel scattered about. He may be able to hook you up with something.

Most of the paint, seats etc. is 65 years old as it left the factory in 1948. Rest of the car is polished and cleaned. 99.9% necessary repair work has been done with original parts. No alteration except fitting one modern fuel filter and one modern thermostat.
