Hullo Waleed ... youve put up pics from a place I visit almost always when I am in Karachi. If nothing else one can see a couple of modern cars one would like to buy.
The AC chaps in Karachi whom I think you know Mohsin have an Alfetta GTV 1970s.. a classic if there was ever was one ... which had a Nissan V6 Turbo engine put in and the rear axle /gearbox replaced etc after I made an offer for it. This is a car with the transaxle and the inboard rear discs. But the the man wanted 3.5 for it. It would have cost me another 4-5 to do it properly. The man said that he wanted to take it racing....???? The man specialises in doing this. For me a car has to be done up properly. It may not be clean but the paint should be impeccable and the mechanicals should be period and correct. Otherwise the 1948 Morris is excellent with a Fiat twin cam or a Toyota 4AGE.
I even traced out an Alfetta GTV6 in the UK to strip and transport.... .... not worth it....if the base price is 3.5,,, add 2500 pounds for the donor vehicle, 2 lacs for the denting and painting and mechanical work...
Old age catching up here. I must go and blow some money without thinking of the return........and without thinking whether I have it or not...
