Hello friends.
Sharing some images of a 1981 B310 clunker I recently acquired. I have put in a new gear box (Kabul), a new radiator that is often found in Sunny GL taxis from lasbella chowk and new springs in the back from a Datsun 120y; theyre stiff and they bounce the back end alot on bumps. Im thinking the coupe is lighter in the back compared to the 120y and the springs are the wrong size for this car. A new carbeurator (kabul) was also put in as the old one was beyond repair. Wiring is from a 120y Datsun of the same year that I got from a kabaariya. The engine is not the original on the car, its a Nissan A12, change is recorded on book. Found original 120y Seats that I have fitted in the car. Seat covers on till I reupholster them. All seals on the car are same condition as image.
Now what I want to do, is bring this car to look the same as it was when new or as close as possible. A quote from a mechanic who has been working on this car is 140,000 including reinforcement, complete body work (including restoring the back to original) and bake paint (not including new fenders and wheel arches which are completely gone, or interior). Is that a fair price? (I have already spent about 90,000 on getting it to run)
The mechanic is Rashid in Badr Commercial Area, he has a Battery shop near the pet store.
This is my first project.
Any help, advice or opinions are appreciated. Unless you tell me to scrap the car, which I can not do as I have developed an emotional attachment to it.
