Please snap a picture of the actual headlight unit you have got and put up here. I can promise you that I will try my best to find a matching pair for you. The Fintail Benz is one of my very favorite, wish I own one in future.
Would look around in Karachis scrapyard when i go there, possibly in this week. I do remember a shop there which has loads of stuff including some things off a 40s Benz....Arrghh...I plan to throttle the owner for having butchered it. Problem is he expects to be paid big money. Im quite sure he may have what you need.
There is another guy there too and I know him a bit as my cousin buys a lot of stuff for his 115 and 123 Benz from him. He doesnt have as many vintage bits but maybe wed be lucky if I rummage around in his attic. His prices are much more reasonable.
Im familiar with the 115 series as Im always on a 'combined mission' of parts hunting with my cuz. Know the whole internals of the headlights. Not so for the fintail (110 seriesif Im right?). Could you please elaborate the exact construction?? Is it a separate lens with separate reflective bowl?? I think thats what I gather as you said a little earlier that you have the lens.
I am quite sure the fintail had more than one type of headlights fit originally. May be market difference, LHD or RHD difference or maybe even options. So a picture of what you need would be an essential guide.
You have already spoken to Shamsi as suggested by mohsinikram earlier. He does have a LOT of rare bits but asks good (for him!) prices too. He has those cute original hubcaps which go on the fintail if Im not mistaken. Get hold of them if you need them. Its a rare chance.
