@ mohsinikram:
Unfortunately for me, I dont have relatives or close friends in Dubai, otherwise would have bothered some people!
My elder brother in California has a stash of VW goodies bought mostly off Ebay but the dream turns sour when the issue of shipping comes up. He did send a small 'consignment' through one of my visiting uncles recently who had mistaken the bits and bobs to be some essential mysterious pieces without which my bugs were off road!
Have had bad luck with two other parcels sent by VW enthusiasts from the US. Imagine finding a carburettor rebuild kit strewn across your driveway just because the Customs slit the package open but did not have a small length of tape to seal it back. And Postie the postman did not bother to ring the bell and chose to fling the package OVER the gate like a frisbee.
I wish you good luck with the parts stuck at Rome. Hope you get them all without further hassle and headaches.
To tell you the truth I cannot afford Coker Tyres or their Customs duty at the moment. They'll remain a fairy tale for me until I move out of the country or grow old here by a decade or two!

Ill take your comment as a compliment!
On a serious note, I must say that Im only trying to point some details to zwaraich which I feel would help make the fintail a 10 out of 10 rather than a 9 and a half. The improvements are possible and do not require much input.
I would'nt have been so 'detail oriented' had the car started out as a basket case. Being a family owned carefully looked after example, one should expect a 100%
Best regards to all.
