Vinyl Flooring help required

Hi there guys, need advice here.
I need interlocking Vinyl flooring. Vinyl flooring which I found so far in Lahore n Rawalpindi is simple 3feet long and 6 inch wide sheets of 1.5mm thickness which are attached to floor directly. Hence they require use of an adhesive and which causes smell of adhesive and also become non-removable ie permanently fixed to the floors.
Laminated wood flooring do come in such interlocking planks but can't find Vinyl flooring like that. Also the thickness is like nothing. 1.5mm will get destroyed scratched or damaged even if one lady with pencil heel is walking over it
So anyone who has access to such ?
Locally available vinyl cost around 50 (local made) and 60-70(imported) for a square foot. Laminate floors cost around 100-200 per square foot but they r not water resistant or stain resistant.
So anyone???

Dear.

Vinyl flooring is good normally in 3 mm thickness with a minimum wear layer of 0.3 to 0.7 mm. 0.3 is actually very basic. Well I will suggest you inter locking Vinyls are normally ****. Go for the other ones with proper levelling and adhesive. Search for Mapei if you can find in Pakistan it wont smell. Keep in mind some pros and cons. Vinyl flooring requires air conditioning. You can not leave the home locked for a month in summer without AC else flooring will go bad. 0.3 to 0.7 is more than enough for a home if its manufacturer properly and is a decent brand or even good one from china. Buy some extra pieces and you can just replace the piece in case of scratch. Interlocking ones fitting is not good. Will always keep moving and above the sub floor.

There is one shop in Centaurus. The molvi type guy is a nice guy and has good products and their price is good also. I guess on the third floor.

But question remains if u apply glue n then in our humid n hot environment, won't the fumes will affect u? That's why I was thinking about interlocking ones. Cause if u have a small room and all 4 sides are fixed using a vertical edging (skirting) then the vinyl tiles won't move. Also check you tube videos about this. Individual tiles with no interlocking and applied glue to the floor have highest rate of damage. Vinyl is a flexible material so it is more useful over not so perfect level floor. Up to 3% floor undulation is handled by vinyl tiles even when interlocked. Why I want interlock because I quite frequently move like after 2-3 years I have to shift to new location new city. Carpets I don't like personally. That leaves interlocking vinyl best option which are affordable as well. But so far I have not seen or heard about interlocking vinyl in pakistan. All have Chinese or local 1.5mm thick vinyl flooring

Bhai,

My company has experience in installing all these Vinyls, semi solid, laminate and solid wood floors in some of the exclusive places on earth. And we have used Vinyl products from across the globe, from Amtico to Karndean. So as per my experience, I am telling you how its properly done. Now if you are moving frequently, still you wont be able to use same flooring. While lifting it, regardless of laminate or vinyl, the interlocking gets damage. Hence you cant use it again. With Glued Vinyl, you dont even need skirting. Its optional since PVC does not expands with weather changes. But with laminate you must have skirting because while installing, you need to leave a 3-5mm gap between wall and flooring so that while it expands, floor wont pop out.

If you will stay,2,3 years these are fine. With glue you have option of changing single piece also. You need to go with good glue. Mapei Ultraplab Echo is good enough. But you might be able to grab some cheaper good chinese one also.

That explains cause I am so far unable to find interlocking vinyl in Pakistan atleast in Islamabad n Lahore. When I ask the seller about interlocking sheets they show me laminate wood flooring planks. We r years behind in our construction trends from rest if the world.

Well. Interlocking Vinyls are shitt anyways. . So is laminate. Best is either semi solid or a good quality Vinyl.

Pakistan main Luxury vinyl (LVT) nahe milte or I haven't found them yet. They r best I think a bit expensive but very good

Try from that shop in Centaurus, they had some better quality stuff. If you are in Pindi, you can easily locate them.

Laminate is not waterproof but is toughest for scratches. Because the top layer on laminate is a clear coat of melamine, one of the toughest product on earth for scratches. But moisture and water can ruin it. And also cleaning issues.. LVT is 100% water proof so you can even wash it.
