Yesterday I came back from UK after staying there for two weeks. I must say this that I don't know why people want to live in UK; small old houses that too extremely expensive. In fact everything is expensive in UK. For tourism its fine but I would never want to live permanently in UK, never!

Its simple process: go to their website, check the requirements which are pretty basic nothing complicated and they will keep passport for at least 15 days.

You will need to visit them to give your documents and biometrics.

I don't live in Pakistan so not aware of their their contact details. I paid total $800 for everything for 2 years visa.

Bro you want to travel to Turkey then go for it. You need a Turkish visa. A UK visa is only entry to UK not any other EU or any other country.

UK is expensive but I believe you stayed in London!!! It's a amazing city with insanely expensive lifestyle and property being the most expensive thing. Tell you one thing for us living outside London it can easily be a separate country,that's how much the difference is.

With UK visa Turkey gives an e-visa which is just a formality to get $60 in their pocket. Without UK visa, one has to apply to the consulate or embassy for the Turkish visa. I had the visa and I chose not to go to Turkey.

Last year when I went to London for a week so I had seen a lot of it so this time I visited different cities and was in London for just a day. I went to Stratford-upon-Avon, Birmingham, Stonehenge, Oxford, Farnborough, Windsor, Portsmouth, Reading etc. The 2 bed apartment in Farnborough is for 265K GBP; how come that is cheap? everywhere you go you get fish and chips for around 9 GBP, from Stonehenge to St Paul's Cathedral to Windsor Castle the entry is at least 18 GBP; how that is cheap? I took a 50 minutes train to London and it cost me 22 GBP which felt cheap considering prices for every other thing there.

My next thing is Shengen visa and from the city I am, I can only get Italian visa but I need to go to Paris and not Italy so what is the solution?

Obtain a visa for Italy, book a flight from Alitalia to rome arriving late night with an early morning connection to CDG - Paris get an entry stamped & turn around after few hours for exit to Paris. Same carrier will not be that much of fare difference.

You had busy couple of weeks.How was your trip,hope to see a trip report from you.
I get your point of expensive properties and tickets.it depends where you are in any given city,but ?9 for fish n chips are expensive,guess you didn't visit any desi area!! You can still find ?1 fish n chips although contents of fish will be debatable in that case.

Plan is to travel from London to Paris by road and not by air.

I had a flight to UK so couldn't submit my passport at the US consulate so I postponed US visa. I will have to take a 3 hours flight to go for this interview.

Trip went well, overall UK is old and is a heritage. Brought a lot of shan spices as well from UK since I cook my own food.

You know we have limited choices in UK since most of the food is not halal; fish and chips and sandwiches from ASDA, Tesco and M&S were few things I could eat. Didn't find much of Pakistan/Indian people and restaurants but happen to find a good Indian restaurant in Reading and the food was good, that food gave some satisfaction to the taste buds.

Asa! guys today one of my close friend told me that his elder brother's friend in Singapore has a friend in Australia who is offering 7 work permit visas of 4 years duration in hotel and farming sector jobs (with a salary package of $ 4000) My friend says that his brother, he himself , a mutual friend of us and some other persons of his relation can apply..The initial fees is Rs 300,000 ..When arrived there $ 2000 will be deducted from each salary am not sure for how much duration..I was thinking that whether it would be a genuine work or not because my friend says that he is also not 100% sure and he will also apply on risk..I have no knowledge regarding Visa procedures and processes because i did'nt go out of country..So, i am in need of your assistance as you people live there and know the policies of country..and may be you have came across such scenerio..
