Hi All,

I have applied for Singapore Visa through Our official Travel agents and after like 1 month's followup my passport has returned with no Visa and no rejection letter accompanying the passport. This is frustrating

I am confused as to what might have happened and upon my follow up during my passport was gone, I asked for an online tracking reference number but they said "Visa Applied from Pakistan do not get a tracking number since they are not applied online"

Anyone here who faced is a frequent traveler to or may be someone who has been in a similar situation? Any guidance would be really appreciated as due to this I missed out on a very important training in Singapore.

P.S. It was a free 5 star trip to Singapore for 2 weeks which is now missed and it pi**ed me off badly

You should start with checking out the official immigration websites for any country that might be interested in for qualification requirements which are clearly stated there.

Usually immigration is for skilled workers; which means those people who can work for them in the professions in which they require more human resource. And they ask for experience in last 5-10 years. Unless you have someone in that country then its a different kind of immigration like family reunion or spouse/family sponsorship.

Singapore kay liyah mein itna hi bol sakta hoon " shah say zaida shah kay wafadar". Singapore authorities are following visa guide lines of some european countries for screening, due to this its getting very difficult for pakistanis especially to get singapore visa even for frequent traveller. Many of my friends got refused for singapore visa even they have histroy of 30 years or of travelling to singapore for various reasons.

I wonder who wants to go to Singapore; that place is insanely expensive and nothing much to do there specially for a tourist. People are materialistic and usually marry in their late 30s. I call these places alien countries for us.

Willingness to work is good, but not a sufficient reason for allowing immigration. You have to be able to offer the kind of expertise that the other country is actively seeking, whatever it might be.

In Australia, its very hard to find jobs.
Only job one can find is driving a cab(earning $8 per hour while official minimum wage is $18).Plus, you deal with people abusing you and chances of getting punched every day by drunk people.Average monthly rent for shared room is $500.
Other job is security gaurd, again hard to find but usual pay is around $18(if you are lucky).Usually desis will pay student $10 an hour.Also, imagine standing as choki dar in front of night club with chances of getting punched and broken bones in case of some drunk people get angry.
Good jobs none for Pakistanis unless you are highly intelligent with exceptional exprience.
You won't save money other than pay all in fees and living cost.Imagine working 7 days a week for third class degree. You will only afford cheap unis whose ranking are low. Its better to study in Pakistan.

Immigration outcome is almost zero because they keep changing laws.
Applying for PR visa? Again think because fee is $8000? jobs hard to find. You work as engineer while in Australia you work as cleaners,driver earning minimum wage while Aussie citizens think you are a beggar.
Some harsh realities no one tells you.

If you have the skills to be offered a work visa in the first place, and if there is an ongoing need for those skills, and if the country itself is willing to offer immigration, then, yes.

I mean like I apply for a job in a private company, they like me and offer me a job. I accept and apply for work visa. Isn't that the most popular way of moving/going to foreign countries such as USA/Canada ? Then after you have worked for a certain amount of time, you qualify for a permanent residence. Or am I mistaken ?

Any company has to prove that they cannot find a suitably qualified local candidate and arrange for a visa after the correct allocation if available. This by itself is not an easy process. Certain countries do not allow such jobs to counts towards residency requirements, some others do. It all depends.
