What about USA?

How jobs work for non-US residents ?

As in say I'm a professional from Pakistan. Is it tough for me to get a job in the USA ?

But don't you see all those pakistani/indians/africans working in min. wage jobs in fast food joints and maybe greenhouses picking tomatoes ? How the hell do they get into north america ?

It all depends on the type of job and visa quota. There is a dedicated category for seasonal farm workers too.

I wonder who wants to go to Singapore; that place is insanely expensive and nothing much to do there specially for a tourist. People are materialistic and usually marry in their late 30s. I call these places alien countries for us.

This was the thing I want to ask from every person seeking a singapore VISA

Trip went well, overall UK is old and is a heritage. Brought a lot of shan spices as well from UK since I cook my own food.

You know we have limited choices in UK since most of the food is not halal; fish and chips and sandwiches from ASDA, Tesco and M&S were few things I could eat. Didn't find much of Pakistan/Indian people and restaurants but happen to find a good Indian restaurant in Reading and the food was good, that food gave some satisfaction to the taste buds.

@s55 and all travelling overseas; what do you mean by halal food abroad? may be the food is halal but it is still cooked on the same frying-pans, cookwares etc. that are used with non-halal food. At least China, Sri Lanka, Singapore have the same issue, I have visited the kitchens in different restaurants in these countries, they don't even wash the pan before cooking a halal food.. may be these are the causes of different diseases in Muslims like swine flu etc...

No offence to anyone... just my experience and opinion..

You are right and this is a big issue for us Muslims. Wherever I have asked in UK, even for sandwiches or all veg, they told me its not halal. Reason could be the same that they use same oil, utensils and spices for all products. Even for fish and chips; who knows he is making pork/bacon in the same oil. This is a big headache seriously, not a pleasure to be honest.

People who have bussiness there, still singapore is good for tourism, and also they got good colleges too.
Peoples are materialistic here too in pakistan. Law and order situation is very good in singapore.
Btw every country we go we are alien too them .

How about someone who owns an apartment in London and in Singapore, doing a well paid job, age 35 and doesn't want to marry? that's how they are. Tell me how many Pakistanis are that rich and still single?

None of the English speaking country is alien to us and we get adjusted pretty easily. Law and order is fine everywhere in the world except Pakistan, Singapore is very small compared to other metropolitan cities of the world.

we can go long way on argument over which english speaking country think any foreigner as alien but it will not serve the purpose of the thread. my traveling around the world is twice as much of my age, Singaporeans have their own way of living and i am not the 1 to judge their personal life of having money and getting married or not.
lots of country in world have bad law and order situation not only pakistan , pakistan is in one of those country which not only faces poor law and order situation but also terrorism too unfortunately.
Even singapore is smaller in size but its doing very well specially in the sector of quality education and providing basic and advance facilities to their nationals/visitors which unfortunately so called big metropolitan cities fails to do.

Many countries have faced terrorism sometime in their life but they have coped with that.
Many countries are providing quality education, not unique to Singapore. You have to be a national to enjoy most of the basic privileges. And being a national there is not very enjoyable as well so expats don't bother to be a citizen.

Alien means they don't think of us as same equal humans.
They think of us as some third worlders poor people. The local population in Austrlia would generally never make a Pakistani their "friend" for reasons we all know because we are poor and media has created an image of us.Not everyone is Imran khan(celebrity) who finds a charming girl from UK. I just met a friend from USA who had same expriences.Unless you are rich, there is not much to offer and you think the western countries have "fair laws" its a joke, they have fair laws only on face of it.God forbid, if you have to fight a case there...Its not us judging them, its them judging us.

Adopt their life style?
Drink,smoke,do drugs,party for 3 straigh night with help of drugs,kids leave parents in old care.

Hello People

Need a little help here,

Recently , i visited diplomatic enclave for purpose of visa , upon entering visa shuttle service buying a ticket and riding down to embassy.

it took me an hour or so to take me to turkish embassy , further i had to wait for 5 hours just to get my turn,

the embassy doesn't give appointments.

there were a lot of civilian cars that were waiting next to embassy well before early in the morning?

Question is " Is there a permit " that i can take my car ? myself to embassy ,

( or the other civilians are just using the phone calls by government officials to go inside the enclave )?

I left from lahore night before , and came unfurnished so just for heads up

Please guide how can this be done

Im applying for Schengen visa and need to know if the visa is issued to the very specific days mentioned in the application form or is it longer thn that?
eg if i mentioned my travel dates from 1st December to 10th December, im i going to get a 10 days visa only? or the usual 1 month or three months?

To each their own. Many people would find Singapore an exciting place to visit.
