Could anyone please tell me how important it is to sign the second page of passport? what if we don't sign it? have been using it for over 3 years with no objection anywhere so far alhamdulillah.
For Machine Readable Passports it doesnt matter much because your data is hidden in the chip inside. For old type of passports signing was important as anyone could use it.
AFAIK Pakistani MRP doesn't contain any chip inside.
And yes, when i got approved they did ask where it would be convenient for me to travel and get it stamped. They could transfer the file to location of my choice. Bangkok or Singapore.

Salam everyoneI am currently residing in khobar (ksa). I might be moving to sharjah for 3 months company assignment. my family (wife and an infant) are on visit visa with me here. Now I am planning to take them with me there. I want to ask;1- whats the procedure and docs required for applying dubai visa for family? (since my visa will be applied by company)2- Is 90 days visit visa is easily approved/ stamped?3- What are the charges of applying dubai 90 days visa from KSA?4 After 90 days family will go back to Pakistan, so is it possible that we can go to dubai from some airline and go to Pakistan by taking any other airline flight? because normally on visit visa, at airport they ask for return tickets. Or should I purchase earlyl tickets to Pakisatn?
Return ticket doesn't need to be of the same flight or from the same city. You can arrive at Dubai airport and can leave from Abu Dhabi airport.
For visit visa now they need NOC from company which takes time depending on company.
Why NOC from company? when i am taking family on my own expense and i will be there on visit as well...

I don't know about GCC residents. But if a relatives takes out visa for a non-GCC resident then he needs NOC from his company in UAE. This requirement is quite recent. From this month I guess. Ask you company if they can arrange visa for your family.

Today talked to emirates helpline here in ksa. First she said that u hv to attach hotel reservation for applying visa, I asked wat if Im gonna stay at some relative or any apartment, she said then its ok, no problem.U can confirm by urself aswell.
