Hello, we are planning to visit to Hunza/Skardu in July but trip schedule is falling right around Muharram days, so I wanted to check if this is right time to visit these areas or there should be any concern with respect to Muharram processions and road blockage?
You may find road blockades specially from 8-10 Muharram for Ashura Processions
If your reach your destination on 8th Moharam and plan to stay at your destination calmly, Everything is ok, If you plan to travel on these dates, All shops/Food might be closed and you might have to face road blocks.
Hello, i am also planning the trip around same dates. i am also concerned about land sliding.......Also i hope food/ restaurants etc would be open in these days.
Hunza will be all open .food and hotels will be available. U may fave problems in Nagar especially during 7-10 muharram
