Visit to Naran from Islamabad on Honda CD 70

We are planning to visit Naran on CD 70 bikes.We have 3 days, 30th July, 2010 to 01 August, 2010 (Friday to Sunday).
I am looking forward to the advice on precautionery measures and how we can make this trip more enjoyable.
We have 2 more days to go, so looking forward to all my experienced friends.This is my first trip to Naran.
Cannot extend the tour due to office commitments.

Plz take CG-125 as 70s is not good option

But we are four friends, all have cars but we have arranged CD 70....Now, we can't arrange 125 in two days.

But we have one person = one bike.....

My suggestion is that you dot go in Monsoons, but if you really want to go then you should leave early in the morning,that is around 5' o clock, it is a long way to Naran. Take worm clothes with you and you must take RAINCOAT because it can rain any time and you will be on a bike. Take care.

Go man and enjoy but also take Warm Clothes wear Helmet and take some Umbrella or Rain Coats with you, and drive slow.

such a small engine with tyres size of a sohrab cycle and that to in rain and ice melt season(chances of slipping and getting wet)

rain kafi hai wahan per bhai 70cc is not suitable mein nay wahan bikes waloun say pocha tha tu unho nay kaha cg100 is best option 125cc 2 tanks mein naran pohancha aur 70 aur 100cc one tank per. aur power bhi 100cc ki kafi achi hai

Dear FMJANJUA
Few of my friends have visited Naran and Shogaran on CD 70.
Yes, it is right that CD70 have very weak engine to climb up on hill but with little modifications you can manage.

Replace the flywheel mounted on rear wheel, (connected with drive chain) with bigger diameter flywheel. This will slow down the speed of CD70 but increase power of it that CD 70 will climb hills easily. Also ask mechanic about drive chain, i think it be replaced too.
Remove chain cover.
Replace the breakshoes, use new breakshoes which are made up with fine leather which should not get heatup quickly. Beacuse on your way back you need frequent usage of breaks and too heated breaks may fail to stop bike.

PRECAUTIONS
On your way back, do not turn engine off, don't neturalize bike, use 2nd or 3rd gear to keep its speed under control.
Always keep rain coats with you.

Very important: before leaving offer two rakat Nafals and pray to Allah. Then everything will be fine.

OH one more thing, Use Puncture off solutions in tyres in order to avoid any puncture on your way.

I have seen crazy guyz reaching Lulusar lake on cd 70, which is 2.5 hours drive on jeap and around 60 kms ahead of Naran.

Naran on bikes is litteraly not a big deal.

its kind of Liquid you can find on good auto store. you pore this liquid into flat Tyres and then inflate air into it.

it works like, if tyre got puncture, due to pressure release, this solution instantly become rubber like thing on that air leakage spot.

Dont forget to take an umbrella and leave home when its raining hard :S

I don't think now a days its a good idea to go there. People are stuck there. Rivers are over flowing due to rains. My advice is that 'Don't Go' rest is your choice.

i am planning to visit naran on cd 70. two person on one bike... do you guys think is it possible to make it till there?
