Visiting Skardu Deosai Fairy Meadows alone

Hi guys !
i was planning a visit to Deosai/khunjerab/fairy meadows with 4 other friends but they all backed out
Now i'm planning to go solo
i visited hunza in 2006 with family ! and after that trip never had a chance to visit anything beyond Katas/kalarkahar

from june 16-24/25th
Basic itinerary :

Day 1 : Take daewoo- LHR-ISB and then Natco ISB-Skardu
Day 2 : Reach skardu and take a decent nap at a hotel. then roam in skardu streets and visit local bazar and buy some treking equipment/sleeping bag/camp as i heard that they hav really cheap yet highly durable boots !

Day 3 : hire a jeep at visit satpara lake + Deosai and then return to hotel in skardu !

Day 4 : Take some public transport to Hunza and visit nagar valley/ hopar glacier and return to hunza stay in hotel !

Day 5 : take local transport early in the morning and reach Rai kot ! rai kot to tattu and then to Fairy meadows stay it hotel or camp !

Day 6 : trek to base camp and return to fairy meadows !

Day 7 : trek to raikot bridge and then to islamabad !

Day 8 : Daewoo-Islamabad !

Questions :

1. Is it safe to travel alone in the areas mention above?
2. any Flaw or any suggestion regarding itinerary ?
3. my total budget is 30 K is it enough ?
4. which things should i carry along with me in ruck sack () ? (Parka suite/rain coat ,trekking shoes,stick, camp can be bought at cheap prices in skardu or not ?)

P.S : If anyone else is going in mid/late june to the areas above mentioned plz let me now if i can join u

your Plans Seems Ok but i suggest you to completely visit the deosai plane and land in astore . you will enjoy it more .
as going from skurdu to deosai and than coming back to skurdu wont make sence at least to me.

_ and really going solo is difficult in a sence that you may get bore alone.
- its completely safe there .
- do try to add a visit to mantokha falls when u in skurdu

seem like a very good backpacking trip ...need bit of tweaking ....i m also planning similar thing .in july most probably...as i have vacation in july...have bit of trekking experience of nagaparbat basecamp-rakaposhi basecamp and few other places....but now i want to backpacking in these areas....

first 30K budget is more then enough ,for you...if u r not living lavishly on the trip..no need to book hotels ...

my advice would be,if time and money is limited

>> visit shigar/khaplu valley
>> sadpara -Deaosai - trashing >> astore >>raikot
>> raitkot -fairy meadow...

in this plan u have to skip hunza /nagar area....its a far from skardu,and if u have to come back to gilgit to go hunza area......nut crossing deosai-trashing and astore would be epic and plus its a bit near to raitkot......

SKARDU-GILGIT-NALTAR MAYBE / NAGAR -HUNZA-ATTABAD
BACK TO GILGIT .AND FLIGHT BACK TO ISB

Ideal will be if you take a natco direct coach to Astore , stay at ptdc rama
tha leave early morning to deosaii plane and than go to skudu.
than u will go to shigger, mantokha falls, and shangrilla, khapluu and lot more there
no need for advance booking but will be better if you do an advance booking at ptdc rama and skurdu.
i will also be in these areas on end of june hope fully.

i agree with Imran bhai ...but if wish to visit skardu before u may plan ur tour like this...
u must go from skardu to deosai and then u should go to astore ,and must visit rama lake or stay at ptdc rama and visit tarshing a very nice place near astore

Don't take camp, it can be rented in Hunza, Deosai and Fairy meadow.

i read somewhere that one can hire a jeep on 2-3k per day basis fuel charges extra ?

Fairy Meadow jeep charges are now 6000 (return journey). You can cut down by sharing it with some group.

You may find some group at Raikot Bridge.

MANTHOKHA FALLS is a must visit...lovely place...must visit these falls...i have been there in 2010

if u r interested in glacier u may go to Askole...that is also a very nice place to visit...the rout to askole goes from SHIGGAR along the braldo river ...(correction after wards Imran bhai JOINAMI s consultation)

if u r interested in glacier u may go to Askole...that is also a very nice place to visit...the rout to askole goes from Astore near chilllum chokki
