i wonder which car manual recommends to shift towards thicker viscosity engine oil on attaining high miles on odo or reaching certain age

cannot fix an imaginary condition. By local ustaad rationale, engines should be run on 5w20 for first 10,000 then on 5w30, till 50,000 then on 10W40 till 80,000 then 20W50 till 100,000 and then start mixing half quantity of oil with wheel bearing grease till 150,000, then swap engine for good measure.

Toyota should hang their head in shame for making such utterly garbage unreliable engines that cannot make it past 100,000 kms

Thanks for your reply. Your point is indeed reasonable. But amazingly, it is a water-throwing engine. It never reduces the quantity of oil, which, I guess, certifies its healthy condition up to an extent. I will go for 10W-30. I can only hope it is safe when the temperature is between 40 and 46 centigrade in summer.

1. Besides it, should I also get the car computerized checked for satisfaction?
2. For AC issue, do you recommend any expert in Peshawar or Rawalpindi?

I know that water dropping is not a final gauge to check the engine condition, BUT you can use that along with other things like smoke from silencer, smoke from engine oil cap, and engine noise to make a verdict on the engine. I am glad mine has no such issues.

In newer engines, 0w-16 is being recommended by their companies, irrespective they are to be driven in Sakardu, or Sibbi.

If no, then I believe no need, otherwise, if you would like to have it scanned for your satisfaction and spend 1-2,000 rs. on it, you may go for it.

Thanks again for your reply. The engine light sometime appears, and sometime disappears for days. Mostly it remains absent when I drive above 100 km per hour. The car has never given me a single problem for the last several months except fuel consumption as I said in my earlier post. So, now, I have stopped worrying about the mysterious appearance and disappearance of engine light especially when I am taking care of all the needs of the car. I believe cars are thankless creatures. The more you take care of them, the more they panic you...! Thanks for your precious time.

u should check for chexk engine maybe its sensor issue specially if its oxygen or maf sensor then it makes huge difference in fuel consumption coz they are responsible for letting ecu know how much fuel to be used

If check light is appearing, get your vehicle scanned for any / all fault codes. There is something wrong, as otherwise, check lights do not appear.

cat error dont go easily once its chocked it will remain there untill u clean it with proper methoud if u demage cat it will remain there forever

exacly they throw errors coz cat is bad once cat is not addressed how come check engine will go automatically

If so, 02 sensor can be cleaned, repaired, or it must be replaced? What is the other name for 02 sensor? Is it MAF?
