Vitz 1szfe 2004 auto transmission, car drive in only first gear

I have modified khyber, having 1szfe Auto transmission.
Some times when drive, speed meter needle did not move from 0 Km/H.
So car drive in first gear only, and did not shift to 2nd or onward gear.
Some times when Speed meter needle moves from 0Km/h to 20 or higher, than gear shifting to higher gear from first gear.
Electrician Check and said meter and its signal are ok. and also current from this part shown in picture is working fine.

Mechanic Open this part, and found no wear and tear, so he said, its ok.
So what will be problem with my car????

when you swapped the system did you changed the tranmission fluid ? delayed shift must be due to expired transmission fluid

your suzuki meter is analog while the VSS transducer digital pulse drive the cluster needle did you managed some modification for cluster as well ?

• Dear meter was modified.
• Transmission fluid was in good condition, so was not changed, but is there any check to test transmission fluid?? It smell strange.
  
  
• Initially i experience delayed gear shifting on A/C or at fly overs.
• One evening no gear shifting at all from 1st to onward. Next morning gear shifting was fine without any fault. but i get it checked from electrician, he find every thing normal, but when i left shop, again gear was not shifting, so i checked it again from electrician, he get this part shown in initial post picture out from engine and rotate the GARARI and meter needle was working fine, he said its not electrical but some mechanical problem.
  
  
• Mechanics checked it and find its in good condition, (Even i did not see any sign of wear and tear, or mark on this GARARI) so i drive car, gear were shifting very smooth, but in evening again no shifting at all. (I am not sure about it, but it is important to mention that this gear shifting GARARI was installed by mechanics, and was not present during initial engine purchased).

this device / VSS has connection to ECU ?? is it 3 wire or 4 wire unit ??
yard engine / transmission oil has to be changed before it is loaded into a vehicle color & smell of yard items can not be trusted for their properties.

Dear this has only three wires, while is it connected with ECU? Electrician says that yes it is connected.

It is observation that gear shifting failed when speed needle did not move only. When needle start moving, than gear shifting is normal and has not fault.
I shall change Transmission oil, but after on return for saudi arabia, Insha Allah, but mechanics says that transmission has no burning smell and color is fair red/pink, so no need to change, but i will do as you advice.

check meter wiring, there is electrical fault, @capsat dear,what transmission oil is best for vitz 1szfe type ?

Sir it was electrical problem, soldering of some wires to meter were loose and broken, so it is repaired and now i want to change Transmission Oil, so what should i select for this? request to @capsat.

whats the transmission code coupled to this engine. ?

as 1szfe in vitz 2001-2002 was coupled to auto transmission type U440E which take Toyota ATF WS
