Vitz 2000, Millage

Hello Everyone,

I have Toyota Vitz 2000, 2NZ-FE 1.3 Automatic Engine,
Changed the engine 1 year before to the above 2NZ-FE (Some says its PROBOX)I don,t know the Engine which was installed before, Because My brother was using this car.
Tyres size 175/70 R13 82H,
Using Attock Company HD Power Supreme AL/CF, 20W-50 Engine Oil,
Using Octaine, Hi Power, someone use half normal petrol Half H-Power, I started using Hi power since 6 months when i my brother handed over this car to me, on Normal petrol the engine was knocking.
I had Car Tuning 2 Times within 5 Month to increase millage,
Currently the Car is giving me 12.5 millage/Litter.
A lot of Guys told me, its nothing the Millage should be above 14,
I am driving on Low Pedal to utilize my full Fuel efficiency, and using with proper care.

If this is the Average millage, or If It has to increase, which engine I have to use/ need to replace to original tyres??? plus what other suggestions I need to keep in mind.

Using Attock Company HD Power Supreme AL/CF, 20W-50 Engine Oil,

Its SL not AL "SL/CF, 20W-50"

Bhai u r using thick oil.Use 10w30 for 2nz fuel economy will increase.

I was reading on Pak wheels, "don,t change suddenly to thin oil if you have used thick oil, that change will destroy your engine", plus I am going for Total future Series 10W30 or Toyota genuine 10W30, that would be a good option for me, I think???

You can switch to 5w30 or 10w30. There's no harm in it. I've switched to 5w30 synthetic a long time back on my 2nzfe and have had no issues whatsoever and the engine runs great with great mileage

After having debates on the lubricants topic, Every one has their own suggestion, I made my mind as you told me, I reached the Total Petrol Pump, there the Guy start saying, its old Engine, your engine is replaced with Toyota Corolla 2NF-FE (don`t know the model number, but I can say that might be 2016) , you should use 10w-40, he also mentioned, look the temperature in Islamabad is already getting high, if you are using 20W-50 then there is no problem in using that. I was going for Total Parco Brand, but there the guy said and even my mechanic said the same,"Attock is local that's why that are cheap, they have good engine oil, they are Company so use it without any problem".

Forget about "getting old" thing.
Engine is made to use same engine oil grade till it start loosing compression and burning oil.
If your engine has good compression then stick with one grade irrespective to season.
Switch to 5w30 or 10w30 and Brand of your choice.
If you ask me I prefer volvoline, havoline and liqui moly etc.

But As I noticed the Engine sound got high and like a sports car (not that much, but I can feel it) but I feel no issue in Gear Shifting, I want to bring one thing in your notice, I can hear the Engine knocking sounds when it Reaches to 50 - 60 speed, I discussed with my mechanic he said use half V-power and Half Petrol, When there was small difference in price b/w V-power and Petrol I was using V-power, but not there is high difference I mostly use 40%/30% V-power and 60%/70% Petrol. now the knocking sounds is gone.

Thats a new one.
New engines are made to run thin oil.
There lashes, internal gaps and oil ports are designed for it.
If you use thick oil, it will cause engine to wear faster as oil will fail to lubricate small gaps.
Engine replaced is a different discussion.
It shouldn't be done but now it's there.
2nzfe or any new engine runs perfectly fine with synthetic oils and these oil are made for such engines.

Also high octane is a different fuel.
Rather then using high octane try anyother fuel pump.

True. Running havoline 0w20 and 5w30 in my vitz and corolla, using delo gold ultra 15w40 in my merc (though switched to lm 10W40 for experimental purposes) and have had no complaints with any oil

I've used shell products before but mostly run with caltex these days

Wanna know who are these guys that suggested that using synthetic oil isn't recommended?

Like pointed out, switch to 5w30 or 10w30 and your engine will love you. 20w50 is just over kill
