Dear All, I have been facing this issue from quite some time now and i seek advice regarding the same. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
During drive, I hear a sound coming from the engine bay which is like knocking sound but quite feeble and recurring constantly. Whenever I switch AC on, the sound increases and become quite noticeable. I have changed the plugs, throttle body was cleaned to perfection but the sound is still there. Mechanic at Toyota told me that the sound is coming from the "serpentine belt" and it’s because my belt is worn out and have cracks. The said belt is of Rs. 3000 plus labor.<o:p></o:p>
Here the question remains "weather" the diagnosis is correct or not. Should I go for the belt change or not? Advice awaited eagerly.<o:p></o:p>
