Vitz 2006 poor fuel consumption

My Vitz 2006 is giving me a pathatic fuel average (7-8 KMPL). I purchased it unreg few weeks back. Changed the CVT oil and got everything checked from Toyota.

Can anyone please tell me the reason for this bad fuel consumption. I believe this model of vitz should give a better mileage.

my cozin is suffering from same wth similar model 1krfe is mad engine indeed.Even replaced sparkplugs checked valve clearance no idea whts the reason for this although car is running too rich.

be easy on the peddle. change fuel filter. use 60:40 regular and hobc mix fuel.
cold air intake gives 2-5 mpg increase.
get throttle body cleaned
check tire inflation. get wheel alignment. get correct rim size for vitz.
check you odometer. it can be miles instead of km.

long 12 se 13 k/l
main ne fuel filter aur fuel jali chnage ki use ke bad
local 13 se 14 k/l aur long 16 se 17 k/l
at speed 130 se 140
now i really enjoy my belta
plz change fuel filter and fuel jali

did you tried throttle body servicing? also check for ignition cables.

Intake manifold service.
Brandnew sk20hr11
Valve Clearance checking ahh the stupid mechanic didnt told the reading to my driver :0
Toyota CVT FC gearoil with Pan cleaning
Brandnew tyres wheel balancing and alignment on stock 14s the tyres are not much oversized indeed.
IT test.Again didnt told the AFRs etc

my vitz'07 is giving me 15kmpl wid ac in local.
and above 20kmpl wid ac on highways.

driving smooth with constant acceleration.....will help alot.

Agreed 100% as I have tried and been using these measures .. also would recommend to remove the catalytic converter, my car is now giving me abt 14-16km/l

Bought a Vitz after selling my second car reborn 07 and alas my biggest mistake, reborn was much cheaper on petrol than this vitz.....of course change of plugs, removing catalytic are some 50-50% chance game but not a surety its just a matter that u buy a better vitz or get something back......so what i did was sold my vitz and bought a honda again atleast if my car drinks petrol let it b a car as good as honda

Could u pls explain by what you mean to check for ignition cables?

Also what is valve clearance and how is it done?

change your air filter ppl toyota dealerships pe or baher se jo air filter 400 500 ka milta jaise gard ka or lippon ka ohh matt use karen usse avarage nai ati use its original filter jo denso ka hai costs 1500 to 1600 usse avaerge ati hai because uska material dusra hai i have been useing vitz from last 2 years usse phele passo city mein with a/c 10 dehgi in normal traffic signal stops wagera keh hisaab se and buy a nasa carborator cleaner spray har 1000 km pe filter ko hawa lagwo or spray karwalo trottle pe machinic se avarage sahi dehgi or viberation jo 1000cc engine mein ati hai ohh bhi nai ayegi and pick bhi perfect rahe ga plus check yout CAT (cathalatic converter) ohh chock hota hai to bhi avaerage nai dehti or pick beth jata hai if u need any more info about your vitz passo or belta engines feel free to contact me 03332898462

have you guys checked your car for clogged catalytic converter it is usually the culprit
