Vitz 2012 Engine Replacement

Hello every one.
It is my first time on Pakwheels forum.
I have gone through some research to find sone old discussion but all were very old.
So decided to start new one.

I have vitz 2012 Model Japan 1000cc
Engine is finished now. And as per my data we have to change engine. There is 1.3CC engine available as well in market.
Please any one could help. This would be very grateful.
Last but not least while buying engine what should we look specifically.

Getting engine swap is as risky

As most of engines available are from cars that had completed their life in Europe or Japan.

Get a very very good and honest mechanic

Else repairing engine from a good mechanic (as some PW had done in vitz) is also good choice,

it depends how much engine is damaged and what is condition of block and head.

swap is risky rebuild is convenient.
if you are in RWP, LHR, HYD or Karachi there are reasonable workshops who can do the quality job.

Brother I would sincerely advise to have your engine rebuild / overhauled, instead of swapping.

There are good and reasonable mechanics in all major cities, who can do such works. You just need to figure them out. If you would be seriously interested in rebuilding your engine, many members are here, who are in a position to guide you about such mechanics.

Why is rebuilding preferred? Cars whose engine have clocked 200000+ km should also go for a rebuild?

Isn't a 100000 KM mileage engine better than a Pakistani tap water CNG runned engine?

No body runs CNG on a vitz i believe. Tap-water is troublesome though!

Only, if they start showing symbols of wear and tear.

As mentioned by some members here, there are also some vehicles whose engines have clocked more than almost 250-300,000 Kms, and still going great!
