Hello everyone,
I recently purchased a second-hand Toyota Vitz 2013, equipped with a 1KR-FE engine and a CVT transmission, with a 1000cc capacity.
Upon encountering the issue, I performed a thorough tuning and replaced the injectors, fuel pump, transmission oil, and filter.
When I start and drive in the morning, the car does not jerk. But after 5 6 km, it starts jerking, and sometimes, when I switch off the car and start it again, it does not jerk that much. This jerking happens between 15 and 50 km speed. The jerks happen while accelerating slowly and moderately, not at high speed.
After driving for 40 km continuously and in traffic, I opened the bonnet, there was no smell of burning or heat issues in the engine.
noise is not noticed, fuel consumption is increased, and engine performance was good.
no issue going downhill or uphill, no issue in city traffic.
Quoted from someone who has the same issue: Initially the drive is very smooth, but after driving for some time like 5 minutes or so, the jerks begun when accelerator is slightly pressed, whereas if it's pressed hard, there is no such jerk.
If driven at very low speed without being accelerated, jerks are still felt but barely noticeable.
Sometime when foot is lifted off accelerator, slight jerk is felt too
