Vitz 2013 Engine Oil Burn Issue

i want to share another my observation all modern small cars like vitz can take maximum around 3L of engine oil .. how can i expect from a car with 3L oil capacity to run around 5000 km to 10000 km on same oil change in our extreme populated and polluted environment

they can work with 5w-30. however just so u know 5w-50 is better oil grade. simple as that.

you can check the pricing and it will also show that 5w-50 costs more coz its superior.

Brother, 5w50 is not a better oil. In fact, modern cars like Vitz or others, if you check their manual, 0w20 or max 5w30 is recommended.

5w50 can help reduce oil burn yes because of its thickness, but it's not recommended otherwise in other cases.

Are you using cheap air filters? Or are you using open filter boxes? Like all dust of environment is going inside your engine?

Finally I come up with weak engine as I bring my Vitz to Toyota dealership in Lahore also got inspected by local mechanics both argument match as my car give huge smoke on high accelerator while on P. Not driving so one guy suggest me to pour 20w-50 oil and make 2 or 3 oil change in less mileage like 2k then realise if car still drop oil level plus give smoke.
Otherwise I am very much aware about swap or overhaul. But need suggestion overhaul vs swap.

first try taglon 5w-50 and share your observations, dont spend money too quick if any oil gives you the longer oil change intervel then keep on using the same oil

I was about to use 5w50 taglon on my vitz but a mechanic claim it’s for new engine not slightly old engine so he pour performa 20w50.

20 works fine even in winters

When engine is cold 20 will be thicker than 5 but at hot temp both are same

The issue is not limited to cold start only. If you watch working if a vtec or vvti engine you will understand why only high flow lighter oil is recommended in these engines

Same operating principle different methodology. In vvt there is a wheel sort of structure that rotates to change engine timing at hi rpm, resulting in increase in vol efficiency and hence power. That is also driven by engine oil. Found some good videos on youtube you can refer to those.

Vitz reduces engine oil.
Just check if there is no leakage. And keep an eye on oil level. Baki vitz engine reduces oil after like 1lac km running.
Change regularly after 4k km. Use 10w40 for headache free. And 5w30 if can keep a constant eye on the level.
Check for smoke and engine compression.
If its too weak and causing starting issue and power loss, get a new engine.
Wont happen anything to 1kr like upto 180k. Then requires assembly change.

brother its the engine design thing. toyota can comment on that however they have written in the manual that consumption of 1L/1000 KM driven is normal and no issue.

Sir agar aesi baat hoti, then there would have been zero engine oil in my Vitz 2015, with 1KR-FE engine.

I am pouring one of the cheapest fully synthetic 5w-20 engine oil; ZIC A+ 5w-20 in my ride (jissay yahan koi pasand nai karta) and I just checked engine oil level on my dispstick today. It was still touching the max. Mark, despite driven for ~3,500 Kms. Reason is; I ain't pouring fake oil. I can also share picture, if anyone is interested.

1L/1000 Kms is huge engine oil consumption, for 1-2L engines IMO.

Mind sharing picture from manual, where there is written that 1L/1000 Kms engine oil consumption is normal for Toyota engines in general, and 1KR-FE in particular?
