Vitz 2014 mobil oil 20w-50

I have recently bought vitz 2014 having 56000 km genuine milage today o went toyota official workshop to change engine oil and they poured toyota SAE 20w-50 API SL/CF but some one told me that i did a mistake as before shell hx-7 was used in this car what should i do now any help plz?

Keep the oil viscosity according to engine requirements i.e: 0w20 5w30, 20w50 is unnecessary, you should follow the owners manual or check the compatible viscosity from the oil refill cap.

I just changed it Today should i replace the oil immediately or should use with 20w-50 for sometime?

Use for sometime. Kuch nai ho ga. Change at 2500 kms interval and stay away from stealerships. See what is ur manual recommending for ur engine and use that. 5w30 will work well also.

Shell hx7, Pso carient, total quartz 9000. These are good oils which can be used eyes closed provided they are found genuine

API SL is too old. Latest ones are SM/SN

check what the manual says and use oil in future.

Dont ever use 20-50w in 1KR-FE as it’s 997cc 3cylendee 12value engine,new engines with modern cvt transmission have to be use on lighter engine oils like 0-20w,5w-40w,using these oils you’re car engine will be always like new and also you’re fuel average will be good,20-50w is so thick ,iss se apka engine khrb hota hai and also knocking start hojata hai change it as soon as possible dont run it 2500km on 20-50w
Use Caltex Havoline 5w-40w or shell

Exactly 5W-30 as per book is the best recomm. I would suggest him to drain it out at once ... otherwise the clearances will become high and engine will start consuming 5w-30 oil too ..... and it won't stop consuming oil along with heavy feel and high fuel consumption....

Both ways its good..... i am doing same practice with my Echo Idle 2016 Passo....

You must use

Total Quartz 9000 5w-30
Caltex Chevron 5w- 30
Shell Helix Ultrq 5w-30

My car when i imported was 13400kms on Odo so using

0w-20 Total Quartz 9000 till now at 26000kms

These oils above are SN grades.... best suited..... Total is relatively better in Price Singapore packing wala

Because the oil Toyota franchise put in your engine was heavy and thick that’s why,agar issi oil pe 1000km use krty phir engine weak hojata,Best Of Luck bro
