Hello pakwheelers.. I bought vitz 2013/2016 85000km driven recently. From previous owner oil change history I found that he was using Total Q5000 engine oil. At my first oil change I pour zic 5w20 as per vitz manual but the problem is it starts reducing oil. Almost 1L/3500km.Now I want to ask from experts should I change oil again? If yes then kindly suggest viscosity and brand.Thanks
bro u'r engine need Compression Testtest clarify vales seals and piston rings Recommended engine oil 5W-20, 5W-30, 10W-30 5w30 is gud next time go with 5w30 havolinealso check oil leak
Also, after switching to 5w20 the pick of my car is way better than before. There is no smoke coming from exhaust at all once the engine attain normal temperature.My 95% travel is on motorway i.e at higher speeds.Is it possible oil reduction is due to frequent travel on motorways?
From what I’ve learnt via this forum vitz does reduce oil I also used 5w30 but it was the same issue as yours I switched to 10w40 shell semi synthetic oil was not reducing but I’m not satisfied with 10w40 either still searching for the answer myself mechanics say k 10w40 is good 5w30 is thin as per pak weather but this forum advices otherwise this forum favours 5w30 or 0w30 fully synthetic

Who told you 2nz is oil eater?
5W30 works perfectly ok for vitz. Use it and keep checking oil level on 500kms interval. If reduced first replace pcv valve with genuine new one then observe.
