My vitz taking long self when parked for a while..
I am told to change the fuel pump by various mechenic and Electricion
My question is which type of Fuel pump I must get
1. Kabli only fuel pump not complete set?
2. Kabli complete fuel pump set
3. local market fuel pump only

I am facing the same issue, going to change it tomorrow insAllah
Go for local chinese made one. Kabli ones will already be blocked enough
I am getting it for approx 1300 in bahria town rawalpindi. Change only fuel filter, no need to change fuel pump if it is original (Denso) made, else change it too, it can be though replaced with a kabli one

Cost for original fuel filter is 7700. If you can bear it, go for it.
I was busy, could not do it. Will change it on weekend.

Then you should change both of it man. Fuel pumps usually burn out of vitz 1.0. I had to change 2 pumps in 1 year..

Today fuel was at end and luckily found high octane
After pouring high octane car drive has imprven remarkably and not taking long self as before..

I use hi octane, if by any chance i can find it.
Try using Hi octane always and get fuel from Shell pumps.
But you might need to still change the pump, as super fuel might have damaged it.

In my case i disconnected battery terminal negative one for 5 minutes to reset ECU settings, and it didn't take long self today. Might need to check more on it

An update regarding fuel pump.
I changed it yesterday with a local one and my car was not starting up.
I came to knew later that only genuine filter can be replaced with the faulty one, else Vitz being a computerized car, won't take any petrol and won't start up.
So i had to go for the genuine one, worth 7700

As this long self problem was from last year and suddenly gone now as I planned to change fuel pump

Bro, do not change complete fuel assembly. Change the fuel filter and it's (jaali).
You can do the same thing after every 50,000kms.

Not complete set, Only fuel filter which holds the fuel pump needs to be replaced, not the complete assembly

Long selfs are because of bad fuel, hi octane will surely help.
It's not linked with long selfs, with the passage of time due to bad fuel, it does gets clog.
Sometimes within 100k kms and sometimes above it.. You might need to change it either way

Long self have always been linked to clogged fuel filter or less air.
Have been the same thing in my corollas from last 4th generations

Including parts & labour
2000-2500rs.
Choose a good mechanic though. One leakage in a pipe can be fatal

I had same issue on vitz 2004 removed fuel pump and checked on bench it worked completely fine even after 12 years. Turned out problem was with throttle sensor. Replaced it and it solved many issues like poor acceleration and also improved milage. Trust me dont follow the mechanics blindly. Fuel pumps last for lifetime of engine.

Throttle body service
Computer scanned
Etc etc
As from more than a year no mechenic have touched my car... may be some maintenance needed like plugs or sensor cleaning etc
