Vitz gear responding interchangeably in S & D gears

Aoa, I have a Vitz 2009 1KR-FE. I changed its transmission oil around 7000km ago.

Yesterday I had to go Gujranwala from Lahore. I was running late so I drove quite aggressively. I used to shift in S when I wanted to accelerate quickly or overtake. I reached Gujranwala and the car was fine.

On the way back I was cruising at 70 km/h in D and the check engine light (CEL) turned on. Upon reaching home, I disconnected the negative terminal to reset ecu. In the morning the CEL was off, but after 10 mins it turned on again.

Now the CEL is ON but it turns off for a few minutes and then comes on again. Interestingly when I drive in D, the cars is responsing quite aggressively (like it does in S). When I drive in S the car is driving normally (like it does in D).

What could be the problem and possible solution?

Bro I also had the same problem but my car wasn't that fast in S and not slower in S...
But whenever I used S.. The CEL started coming and just disappeared sometimes.. I mean it came and went many times while driving...
My problem was that whenever I tried to use S much and even floored.. The cable of the plugs start to burn and even I felt something a bit burning but after all I just repaired the cable that is in grip connected to any of the plug, ..

Upon scanning p0963 & p0403 showed. The CEL turns on and some times goes off.

CVTs are not for abrupt agressive shifting, seems burned out solenoid in the transmission
According the the service manual the cause can be:
1. Open in shift control solenoid DS1 circuit
2. Continuously variable transaxle assembly
3. ECM
The solenoid is located within the internals of the CVT. I don't see it broken down in the parts catalog, so it may not be something that can be replaced

p0403 is for eps. remove the power steering grip clean it with a de-greaser and hook it back

I read online that it p0963 could also be due to loose harness, is it so? the check engine light sometimes turns off ( when it turns off, the car works normally). Today half of the time the CEL was on and half of the time it was off. I called Mr Abbas but he seems quite busy, he'll tell me about the appointment date tomorrow.

isn't p0403 related to EGR?

where is the Pressure Control Solenoid A located? Inside the CVT?

egr =exhaust gas regulator which is normally linked to diesel engine & tubro charged engines. error codes / obd codes shall be referred to online data with respect to car make, model & engine type.
