Vitz Maintenance Suggestion Required

Hi guys, I need some information for maintenance of Vitz 2014 model.

1. How often do you change engine oil, 5k km or 4km (Toyota genuine oil)?
2. When to change spark plugs?
3. What do you prefer Hioctance or normal fuel and why? (I feel high octane doubles the acceleration speed)
4. When to change Transmission oil and brake oil?
5. When do you need to replace brake discs?
6. There is a noise coming when car is steering at 100%? What can be the issue and how to fix it?
7. Is there any way to fix noises coming from roof and dashboards on uneven surfaces?

How often do you change engine oil, 5k km or 4km (Toyota genuine oil)?

It depends on the oil and oil filter both. I usually recommend to go for that scenario, where these both last together. In your scenario, and instead of Toyota Genuine Oil, I would recommend to go for Total Quartz 9000 Future Series 5w-30 along with genuine, OEM oil filter, and change both after 5-6K Kms / when oil becomes dirty (whichever comes first). Also ensure that oil is 100% genuine and original.

When to change spark plugs?

OEM ones should easily last ~30-40,000 Kms.

What do you prefer Hioctance or normal fuel and why? (I feel high octane doubles the acceleration speed)

I would suggest to go for Normal Petrol. I have myself experimented with my Vitz 2015 with Hi Octane. Its a waste of money IMO, and does not make much difference, especially in city driving.

Just go for normal fuel by Total, Hascol, Shell, and lastly, PSO, from their company operated / maintained fuel stations.

When to change Transmission oil and brake oil?

Transmission Oil may be changed after 40-60,000 Kms.

When do you need to replace brake discs?

No need, unless / until they start giving any troubles.

Information, regarding Part Nos. Etc. (Along with other details too. In fact plug details regarding almost all JDM models upto the year 2015 are available there).

i use regular plugs and can not convice myself to throw away money, if you take a close look at any vehicle user & service manual plug part numbers are always for regular spark plugs.

for me under technical discussion sake it is : Strength (intensity) of spark proportional vs ignition timing as in

starting a fire with flame or with a lightening spark.

i think from and till shows model year. which makes it clear that one is for ksp 130 pre facelift and 2nd one is ksp130 face lift from 2014 till date. correct me if I am wrong

I think, you are right and it makes perfect sense; like from December 2010 to April 2014 model Vitz; old style 1KR-FE, and April 2014 to end 2015 Vitz (may be even till date, but I am not sure, even no time frame has been given above too); new / refined 1KR-FE.
