A scrapper would be happy in a few years time or maybe less. Overly modified Beetles end up getting chopped and their chassis are used to make sand buggies, which in this case is not possible. This particular example of beetle is too far gone to be restored to its former glory.
I hope you get the point without getting your head cracked because of overheating.

What are the updates? how is the car running? noise levels? cooling working ok? clutch holding up to the power?

As for your comment on speed of these old VWs. I should point out that many of the 1600DP (AS) engined type 1s are more than fast enough to turn a few heads. I'd gladly give you a demonstration in my 74 if I ever come back to Islamabad.

Honestly, i usually i laugh at these conversions as they all lead to broken gearboxes and head gasket failure but given your background i am hoping that you will succeed where countless others have failed till now. do keep us all updated.

You should better give predictions where someone requires, and in my case its my hobby and I pay for it from my own pocket so I dont like such useless comments on my rides, either I buy it and set it on fire no one can question me.. Hope you will be fine. Sir car is running fine MashaAllah, heat guage remains at first quarter even at noon. As far as noise and heat is concerned I have installed thick sheets of foam on floors and the engine case (box) in the rear. Car is neither heating nor decreasing coolant level. As in this car hydraulic clutch is installed so its working fine but I feel slight lack of power and according to several expert opinions ita better to change its clutch pressure plates so Im planning it in near future.

As far as convertion is concerned I had bought it already converted because where I have to drive it in Muzaffargarh there is no vw mechanic and no one will agree to repair it. Moreover in slight local runs I think it will not have any issue with this setup.. when you come to islamabad please must have a meetup plan.

Bravo mate and I am sure with slight angle adjustments you can drive this car all the way to karachi, to make it very simple all you need to do is create a higher pressure on the air inlet side of the radiator and a lower on the side with fans a slight tilt on the radiator might help. Furthermore it's always good to have a separate air channel to cool down your engine. It's quite easy to install a oil cooler check out the location where after market condensers are installed in Porsche 911s. Do get in touch as I might be doing a similar project with a crazier motor
