  Ive seen your beetle at Sajid's. Its a nice car tho it could benefit from losing some of the paste on stuff. Just my opinion, its your car really and I have no right to dictate.

Id just take the liberty of elaborating on the link you had posted which I suspect few have checked.

Mr Nasir Shaikh, a VW enthusiast from Islamabad had his 1960 LHD VW Beetle displayed at a Canadian VW show. The particular bug had been exported out of Pakistan for his use in Canada where he is currently posted. It has some one off tasteful local Truck Art on it.

Of the total 168 cars in attendance it won the top award! What an achievement!

 Aha! I have a (topless) sister of this model, a black convertible!

 Bought it from the souvenir shop at London Aquarium. These are made in China and of reasonably good quality. Wonder why these are not available locally since it was not very expensive if memory serves right.

   Good to see your blue bug again. Would wait for the in progress pics you plan on posting. 

  You are having a nice engine rebuilt. The 1500 is a desirable unit. Some enthusiasts prefer it over the 1600 dualport as it has few problems due to the simpler intake manifold identical/ similar to the 1300 and 1200 respectively.

 Though its kinda late now, I always advocate going for powder coating for the sheet metal/shields on the engine as its much durable than paint. Anyway, for Lahore and Isb people it may be practical since rust is not a major concern.

  Is the new engine in the car? Please do keep the old original unit safe with you. Any car with the original engine is much more desirable. You will have a chance to reverse anytime in the future.

 Bugs are lookin great. I cannot be the one to complain (especially since Romano had invited me over for the event) but how come everyone has taken only and ONLY pics from a certain angle?? No close ups, interiors, engine bays etc?

 How long it has been since you painted the tyres for the whitewall look? What kind of paint did you use?

 Still waiting for more pics of this beauty. It does have earlier 66-67 vintage wheels (and drums)  fit. Interesting.

My friend's Beetle, he had a little accident which ended up in damaging rear bumper and fender, over-all the condition is really good!

^had he been in a rice machine the damage would have been much worse,... thank god he was in a type 1.
