that mg if im not wrong in the last pic has been massacred!!!its been extended in the rear a sunroof added,rear suicide doors removed to make it 2 door and then left to rust...its sad really...
^what dop you expect? at one time these cars were common over here and they were well maintained,.. but as time went by more and more mechanics probably started acting like khalid and eventually this is what happens.
romano told me a long time ago that soon all the beetles in pk will be dead and then we'll be left with the few good running ones,.. i'm already starting to see it happen.
i c u hav a serious grudge against khalid:P i still dont get hw u can tolerate camera after him!!anyhoo that only convinced me more to keep my car as original as possible...i took it to babars with romano btw...i hope it turns out good!!!
not a grudge but i don't like getting d*cked around by anyone. afterall i'm a paying customer and if i don't like the service i get i take my money elsewhere (something i say alot on PW).
only reason i can tolerate camera is because i know cars and i can't be fooled into doing somethign i don't want to do.

VW GEARBOX CODES
General Information - Beetle Gearbox Part Numbers Should start 113 For a Manual Box and 001 for an Auto Box.
The Gearbox Code. Is followed by 5 numbers the first two are the Day the second two are the Month and the fifth is the year. (For Example: AS26046 was built on 26th April 1976)
1975+ Gearboxes feature a different bell housing that require a different starter motor and engine mounting studs

Was alot of fun today, after the trip we all split up and romano and I went shopping for VW parts at Moqeems shop where he had recieved a whole bunch of new stock.
I suggest all VW owners make a trip there or at least call the shop and get an inventory list as alot of the items such as brake switches, oil switches and fuel pumps will finish VERY quickly.
