Hi there

i bought a VW beetle about 3 years ago and tried to restore it but could not get a good success. problem is that normally i m not in pakistan. now its parked out side my house and not in use. i want to rebuild it again but this time i will take maximum time so that i be here during all work out. can any one advice me if i intend to change the engine and put any petrol engine (like corolla 82 or something) so that i can put on CNG and make it AC as well. secdonly i want to make it luxurous like power windows and stuff like that. its 1967. I live in karachi. right now its DHAKKA start as self is not working brake is v v weak, making strage kind of noises. can any one tell me whom to consult . IN short i am beginner in Beetle. Please guide me guys.

i have given my honest reply here: https://www.pakwheels.com/forumreply_az_TopicID!113207~ForumID!1~pw.html i hope it doesn't offend you (not intended) but i think you could have a great car on your hands if rebuilt to original specs. 67's are rare cars and since so many VW's are being scrapped every day it's getting harder and harder to find a good one.

I scored a set (4) of original EMPI 8-spoke rims for my 1303 today. they will be delivered shorty to my london house but i don't know when i'll be able to bring them here (maybe if i go in december).

at least my car will be rid of those annoying 4x100 toyota rims once and for all.

@All, what's the main visual difference between a '64 and a '63?

Diff between a '63 and a '64:

1. Horn has 2 buttons instead of horn ring

2. Larger front turn signals

3. Larger License Plate light

(Also some changes, depending on which market the Beetle was being sold in: US, Europe etc).
