i'd suggest you try and get your mechanic to change the rubber seals in your master cylinder if possible.

it's possible that a leak in the system cased the failure.

this is why i'm concentrating on handling and braking before i upgrade the performance of my 1303. people tend to overlook braking when modifying cars.

a dual circuit braking system should not have failed...something not quite right here...

it's likely that the later model dual circuit system was replaced some time in the cars life.

@All ISB & RWP Member: How many of you would be interested if we plan a get together for next weekend (most proabably Saturday ). Most likely we are gonna be within 1 hour drive from Islamabad (as Romano suggested).....Also if you know of a nice place, feel free to share.

Just remembered....... A cousin of mine is selling his daily driver 69 bug. It is complete and solid but needs body work in the form of accident damage (not a major accident for the VW body!) Its a daily driver with 100% reliability. Taxes clear, title in name of owner. Btw he is the second owner. Ideal car for someone who wants a daily driver to rebuild at an upcoming date. Asking price is 50K.

@ Naveedrizvi and Howzat I came very close to buying a 1302 bug. It was supposed to be a 'joint purchase' along with a friend as the asking price is quite high. And I am broke! The owner is eccentric and had the bug resprayed and freshened up but ended up not using it. He didnt want to sell it but one of my denters convinced him so he talked a bit. Sorry I dont have any pics. It has a 1600 Dualport but nofront disc brakes. Dont think its on the market now though.

My 1302 is for sell, denting is nearly complete, new floor pan, front japanese seats are available with it, paid 5K to Basit for steel sideboards, front suspension rebuilt. any good offer will get it. bug is near sakhi Hasan at denter place.

there's a guy in gulshan block 7 who keeps super beetles. he gave an ad for a super beetle sometime last year i think....he mentioned that he knew you.

Romano, I am seeing lack of interest from our members and I think it would be very difficult to get everybody together. I have been waiting for a couple days now to see some response and Fadee is the first one to post something productive. I went and saw a couple of places where we could go but I guess I am gonna have to wait. Please shed some light!
