both the 1302 and 1303 have dashboards. i must warn you that building a 1303 is probably the hardest restoration job you can undertake in PK as parts are ultra rare. i've been building one for the last 3 years and only now is it starting to look like a 1303.

What Farrukh was asking for was the full dashboard of the 1303. 1302 bugs come with a steel dash. They may have the padding on like any post 68 (or for that matter any post 58) bug can.

That's a beautiful unit! Where did you get it from?? Its a mid 60s one and seems to be in good shape. What are your plans with it?

It may still be available. The cousin who owns it has left for UK, bug's with his family. However I dont think this car would suit your requirements since it would need a ground up rebuild very soon.

A while ago, you mentioned a '64 that had come to the scrappers' in KHI in somewhat OK condition available for sale...

Does this car still exist, or has it been consigned to VW heaven?

If so, certainly count me in.

I am guessing that car must have been scrapped by now. Havent asked about it. Metal prices had crashed so the guy was slowing down the scrapping process with an aim to sell the whole car if he got a good price. Recently he sold a very nice Morris Minor for 48k.

The problem with cars coming into shersha is we have a very small window period to rescue the car. You have to act quick.

Let me know if you are really interested in a pre 64 bug. It would be like I call you someday, tell you there's a good bug and would need cash to stop the massacre at a days notice.

Very sorry to see this happen. Let me know if you need help/advice for rebuilding brakes. I can recommend someone for the job if you dont have a reliable mechanic.

I would suggest you change the entire system with new parts in one go if the brakes act up often. It would be money well spent.

i think asad meant that he was willing to help you guys out if you needed anything sourced or some info for the resoration of your car as he is also going through the process and is VERY helpful when it comes to info of these cars.
