ofcourse, the wheel and the column setup, just take a look at engine pic once again, i think its not fuel its engine oil coming up with the small rod thats kiks the fuel pump and its leaking from the fuel pump base where it is mounted to the engine

Plz point out on the engine pic's from where the fuel and oil leakage is going on as i already told you guys that i don't know much about the mechanicle of the wheels and also the car is in running condition i saw that car in a market and then i trace the owner and negotiate him about the sale of car. Onwer told me that his son made some changes like steering and gear sticks etc in the bug. Owner is demanding Rs. 65,000/-

hey guys, after a long story of hit & miss endeavors with 4 beetles in a month, i'm finally a proud owner of a 74.... not an 'original' skinned but looks decent and is very comfy to drive...right now at the shop for some minor brakes / suspension mending right after the purchase. All thanks to Asad for running around with me and bearing with numerous calls about vw leads...thanks man I owe you one!

yaar i was enjoying the video, till bhai jan took the engine off, there is one more decent way let me describe, thats how my bug engine was taken down at lahore

bug rear was lifted up on stell ramps under the tyres, and a wood sheet about an inch or two thick and about 1 sq. feet was placed on big hydraulic jack and then it was jacked up under the engine then engine was yanked back the same way, this way engine was rested on the jack on top of wooden sheet, jack lowered and one guy supporting the engine other one roll back the jack and walla we got engine out, replaced the clutch butterfly and placed the engine back same way.

and you see those bugs crossing the nullah, thats preety close to my home

@sharjemad - How is the Beetle hunt going? I'm sorry I couldn't get time to come up on forum and reply you. Hope you're received my message by now. I've also told a friend of mine to hunt a Beetle for you. Lets see what he has got, IF he finds out.

@Storm and @mahmood - I had the same swapped generator setup when I purchased my 1500. Drove with it as the original generator was not available at that time. Though I didn't have any problems, that doesn't mean I liked it. So changed it back to original as soon as I got my hands on its original generator.

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to share some stuff I got for my car just recently, expecting some more in a couple of weeks. One thing that i am really excited about is the white fender beading....also got a rebuild kit for my carburetor, hopefully it does the magic. Everything else you can see for your self.

Next packege has brake lines, steering box, windows scrappers and dome hub caps.

Just thought I should share.

ok this one looks a little better, however as funky mentioned, this one too has had alot of changes done and if such major parts liek the steerign have been altered i wonder how much more has been swapped out underneath the skin. this is one of those cars that needs to be seen first hand and only then can it be judged. however from the pics it seems that only minor changes have been done (good luck finding a new/used VW steering column). everything seems to be eversable but it'll cost you. engine looks liek it ihas had a rough life but luckily these engines are tough as hell and can take a massive amount of abuse. a simple rebuild should put it all right.

you MUST take it for a drive and see if the car jumps out of gear at all. also rev it hard (in gear) and then leave the throttle, the car shuld not jump out of gear then either. if the gearbox is whining then it means that it too is on it's way out. gearboxes are hard to come by in PK.

that's most of the VWCOP ISB chapter, during the cake cutting (5:27) the members present (right to left) are liquid, funky, rebel and other non PW members. the bald guy who looks at the cake after the cut is our club VP (romano)

the VW logos were designed by a members wife and were sprayed by myself and Zohare (the guy in the green shirt).

lovely collection of parts buddy, specially that inline fuel filter. do note that the chroem vlave covers will get VERY hot in summers but the dress up kit will surely make the car look PIMP!! one of the best VW's just got a little better....
