VSS Issue [P0500] - Mehran

I had a check engine light showing on my Mehran, when taken to Suzuki 3S, it wa diagnosed with P0500 [ Vehicle Speed Sensor Issue].
Now the solution proposed by the 3S shop is to replace the odometer, since they say that the speed sensing chip is embedded in the odometer [ I doubt this], and that there is no other way round.

Appreciate if anyone could share what is possible solution for this, and can I get a new VSS??

go to another suzuki authorised dealer and get it checked. i think meter has nothing to do with, these suzuki guys are bastards. get it scanned and get slip from them showing the reason of error code.

then get it fixed.

Hi bro. I have the same issue in mu mehran now... how u managed 2 solve the issue???

I got the meter changed, but the light was still there, so reverted back to the old meter and the light was gone, hence the issue was with the wire.

Try checking the wire
