VTEC function of D15 engine

I have upgraded my city-2000 (1300cc) engine with DB15 (Kabili).
Mechanics does not know very much about vtec, how can I make sure that the vtec function is operating ?

Take it for a run on highway. Put the pedal to the metal, you cant miss it, especially with your tranny setup. One cant miss it even on CVT (what a bloody downside). Do not lift your foot off the pedal. Remember, "Only Sissies use brakes, tough guys downshift". @sameerulhaq064 ...

Thanks for reply but its not an easy test. Some one told me the vtec solenoid operates around 4000rpm, is it true? I have already checked the solenoid is functioning by giving external 12v, the problem I found that the sinal from ECU is not coming at 4000+rpm. No mechanic takes the pain to diagnose it and says dont take that tension of vtec. Can any one guide me for a competent ECU diagnostic mechanic in Pindi.

Tried to do this once jab nayi nayi gaari chalana seekhi thi. Ended up left foot braking aur marte marte bacha

ecu reads some sensors before engaging the vtec. so be sure every sensor is working.
best is to put ecu in diagnosis.

Thanks for your opinion, it is a kabli ecu. Do you know any best ecu diagnostic shop in pindi ?
Is there any input connector in ecu to plug the diagnostic unit or in dash board. it is city 2000

Let's consider you wiring is done by a good like oem then there would be a 2 wire connector located under the glove box of passenger side. If you put a jumper between these 2 wires ecu will get in diagnosis.
But as we know this is Pakistan so locate the SCS (service connector) pin in your ecu and ground it to put car in diagnosis.
