Please share some more details regarding your problem
You have a 1997 Honda Civic and engine is changed.
Please post a picture of your engine compartment and engine number so that we can ascertain which engine you have in your car.

If u are talking about Vtec written on Head of the engine then it might be the original Engine as Honda Atlas offere Vtec engine in 1997 Honda Civic VTI variant.

yes bro it dont have it. it has MAP Sensor and that Fuel Trim Pot thing !

Yes, locally assembled cars in the 90's era with D series engines didn't have O2 sensors for AFR corrections, rather they were equipped with fuel trim pots (potentiometer) pre-set at factory.
Some good workshops like I heard about Enercon, analyze the engine exhaust and can adjsut the fuel trim settings, it is not supposed to be altered by a non-professional otherwise.

An engine, if doesn't reach optimum temperature level, will almost always consume more fuel.
Please check that your car is not running with thermostate valve removed and radiator fan running directly, as soon as you switch ON the engine.

yes my radiator fan is always direct but my thormosstat show properly. can you tell me where is thermostat valve in d15b engine. where it is located? and can i re fix to auto fan for my radiator?

recently i did thoratel clean nikal k, map sensor clean, plug clean, pickup is good now. no check engine light, no missing, no starting trouble.

was thinking to go for tappet setting. but phr b esa lagta hai k hawa zada leti hai gadi.

If you follow the lower radiator hose, thermostate valve is placed inside the housing where this hose makes connection with the engine. Thermo/fan switch is also installed in that housing.
Thermo switch is connected with a two pin connector, to make the fan run directly people detach this connector and place a jumper wires to short the connector, if you remove that jumper wire and reconnect it with thermo switch the fan will only turn ON when the temperature reaches to approximately 95°C.

If you can visit a workshop with a good scan tool and can capture live data of the fuel/intake system and can plot them on the same time scale here that will help reveal the problematic area.
Live data should cover RPM, TPS, coolant temp, MAP, IACV readings at least, scan should be performed on a fully warmed up engine.
