VW BEETLE generator not working ( HELP NEEDED)

HELP wanted !! guys i have a problem with MY VW BEETLE generator !! ,its not charging !! and when i put light ON it completely stop charging !! do u guys have generator in spare !! how much it cost !! roz push kar ka start karni parti hai !! i am depressed !! our neighbor make fun of me !! n my bug !! IDIOTS ...and how much kabali cost and where it available easily ( near Gulshan ) plz its a request !! help me !!

Get it checked by an electrician.
New(old) ones can cost around 3k, but your old one can be repaired for less.

And post this in the VW club.

No need to feel bad or get depressed, Beetles are old cars and require a lot of attention.

I had the same issue about 3 weeks ago...I had to replace the generator and MashALLAH my car is running just fine....I ended up spending about 1500 only.

By the way, i would recommend that you do a complete check on your car and replace obvious things like, Battery, Spark Plugs, Plug Cables, Fuel Pips, Engine oil, fuel filter, point etc etc, and get it properly tuned.

Once you are done with these things it doesnt mean your car will run for ever, you still need to be very carefull but after doing all this you should be in pretty good shape.

A normal car's generator repairs cost around 500 Rs.

You need some good electrition to get this work done not all electrition can repair generators well.

Ur in KHI so cant suggest you anyone.

thats ok !! but thanks !! mechanic near by my house saying it cost 2500 rs to repair !! i was shocked !! haha i know i didnt have a blind faith on them !! cheaters !!

Sameer bahi has PHD in Beetle stuff and I'm pretty sure after all that time and effort for his rebuild, he can build one from scratch now

hmm 2500 main tu normal car ka generator ajata hai qabli.

But Beetle alternator is different as far as i know it also drives the fans on the engine so some people put some other cars generator in the engine but that setup can be bad for engine bcoz of heatup prob.

Go to some other electrition some known one or go to some beetle mechanic and ask him about some electrition who works on beetle.
