I see a hand near the intake where you are showing the blowby pipe.. That hand has a can.. Is the person trying to spray something in the intake?

well didnt get time to get it changed yesterday.got it changed today 20 50 shell.got the filters replaced as well with genuine germany filters

Your car also has an intank fuel filter - it needs to be cleaned out too.

The oil gauge is mechanical - it has a solid metal oil line going into it. It works regardless if the car has a battery or not.

The original glow plug circuit is a series circuit and has a little "salt shaker" on the dashboard that also glows red when the plugs are ready - you then pull the knob fully to start the engine. If that system is not there then the plugs must have been changed to quick glow.

Your car's smoke looks like retarded injection timing.

the salt shaker on the dash isnt in working .Dash is disconnected at the time.only the switch and the knob to start the the is present.A door bell switch wired up as heater switch.Did not check the glow plug my self but according to my driver they were okay .Replaced one of them.BUT THEY WERE GIVING SMOKE WHEN SWITCHED ON.

further more the white smoke has vanished 80% of it.Now it gives black smoke that too when i peddle it.

UPDATE:-
car was dropped off to the denter .Good thing is despite its age rust is bare minimum .It needs new pan mercs have pan support under the floor pans part of it is rusted and other few minor touch up.There or only 3-4 rust areas. i.e driver and passenger door corners,inside trunks floor area and driver side door sill thats it

The glow plugs are in series and have thick squiggly connections between them and one ends on the engine block with a strap. Those are the original slow glow plugs that work in series - that salt shaker is also in series in the circuit.

There are some plugs that will fit this engine which are fast glow but work in parallel. They dont use those squiggly wires. They also dont utilise the salt shaker thing.

nope.he is filling the brake oil .

got that cleaned the first day!
i opened the tank before giving it to the denter and there was gunk in it no rust though.cleaned it with pressure washer.

they are replaced to quick glow i suppose since the plug was easily available in the market(had to buy one since it was faulty).I am not happy with the first mechanic who cleaned the filters and pushed rather towed start it using his car.he towed it with his car to start and after the drive said its engine is weak and the gears as well.Without realizing the face the car doesn't have any brake oil.
Met a electrician other yesterday as well.he said he can connect the dashboard it isnt that big of the deal but i should get the denting and the upholstery done first. Since for it they have to remove the dash .
will take pictures next time and show them to u.

do a compression test on the engine after you set the valve clearances. Then waste absolutely no time with any ustaad pump walay. Remove the pump and injectors, hand them over to Cummins Pakistan on Sh Faisal - next to Awami Markaz. Tell them the car and engine no. note the full first 6 digits of the engine no. it denotes its model and type.

I will post you how I set the timing and it was spot on every single time. Engine with solid basso compression, fresh pump and injectors from Diesel Power systems, engine timed correctly, good engine oil and the engine will fire with a touch on the starter and idle beautifully

Install the factory thermostat - it was 80C on this car, use glysantin G05 coolant (same as MB factory golden coolant) change the gearbox oil, it takes ATF.

That battery you have bought is useless, this little engine requires a manly brute of a battery. The DIN battery is best, its pricey but worth everything spent.

From 1995 to 2003 I used a w 114 (actually E 230 converted to 240 D).

That was an amazing daily drive.

At that time Pakwheels and all its supporting members were not there for any help.

At that time getting help was a tough thing regarding those mercs.

I bought some books for help and reference from amazone .com online.

This helped me a lot.
