Usually these cars make one owner a proper mechanic with a room full of tools and a workbench that rivals most mechanics.

undergoing denting.
new floors installed and the trunk area also replaced with 22 gauge sheet.
mean while i am sourcing for parts such as the indicator assembly

Work is being done at full speed.
i am lucky enough with this car that the previous owner replaced the suspension parts (genuine Germany that's what he told me) when he tried to start it 2 years back.according to him it costed him a fortune.

Mean while

Denting on the car is almost complete.it will take 3 -4 more days to complete.
new pans installed,few minor panels replaced and the trunk metal also replaced.
got all the floor pressed myself keeping the genuine as templates.I used thicker/Better sheets Hence it was a pain in the *** getting them to the right shape.

Next is anti rust treatment and a just a minor paint job.She will get a top quality paint job but that's










after everything else is finalized i.e Interior,Mechanicals and so on

yup planing to do that looking for the right guy.

so I.A dentin will finally be completed today.It took little longer then expected since instead of using 22guage steel i used 18 or 16 guage.

after i removed the finder there was rust underneath which had to be treated .Rust was caused mainly due to water channels being blocked hence u can guess.All the panels which need replacement were made from press to make sure they are 100%.
after i got the panels fitted everything was treated with anti rust and after that ""namda" (dont know what u call that in English) was put on all the floor and the trunk for sound proofing.

Mean while i asked a chota "a 18 year old mechanic" to remove the starter will be rebuilding that using local services.Majority of people wont want a chota working on the car since they tend to ruin the car and that's the fact. BUT the only reason i hired him because he does what i tell him to do and how i tell him to do.I dont have to listen to any of desi jugars from ustad ABC which i dont want on my merc. Basically his hand s and the knowledge of internet are good combo.

I took the door cards apart and took it to a merc expert to redo them.He was asking me 12000 for the door cards -_- . The cards just needed the filthy telic sheet removed ,a good clean up and off-course and the ply replaced.replaced. Al tough i don't mind spending BUT WHY SHOULD I WHEN I KNOW I CAN DO IT at minority of the cost.

I removed the door cards removed the ly took it to a local carpenter and asked him to use the current/old as template and cut new out from me. 2300rs later i have refurbished the door cards .

@everyoneNO TASK IS TOO BIG.It doesn't matter if u have the knowledge when starting the project or not .JUST MAE SURE YOU USE UR RESOURCES WISELY .And internet is one of the biggest resource u can find.USE IT. there are two magic words u need to learn "HOW TO" use these words on google and do ur research .Ask the experts to help u out i.A u will be fine.This is the second time it has happened to me.Where few local experts tell me that the car is worth nothing i should sell it to them in peanuts .And a 18year old kid like me can not take this challenge. . AND AGAIN WITH THE HELP OF EXPERTS SUCH AS XULFIQAR AND GOOGLE I WILL BE HAPPY TO PROVE THEM ONCE AGAIN.

engine updates.
I sourced a 2400cc merc engine locally if the genuine doesn't work out costing me a fortune but though its worth it.

Another suggestistion was made to import an ls400 and alter it complete in the merc. incuding engine ,diffs,brakes,shaft,gear and so on.I have a ls400 standing in uk (worth no more then 700pounds) shipment and every thing is costing me 40000rs . complete car uin 150 not bad at all.

The door cards rot out due to the missing plastic skin on the door metal frames, rain water and humidity rots out the original pressed fiber board.

Previous owner forgot to close the one window and to close one door properly before leaving the car standing hence because of the rain the factory cards roted.
also the plastic coating which the owner did to save the door cards did not do any good.People need to realise that the cheap telic sheet they use tend to contract during winter and expand during summers.Deforming the board when they do

the literally funny part with the plastic sheet is that it is not needed on the card itself but on the door metal - its to protect the door cards and interior from rain water and humidity.

I found it mind boggling to see the plastic over the door card finished surface - lol.... What good will that do?

Thats exactly what i was thinking.But then people tend to do that just to keep the car clean.Dispose the plastic of if it is dirty

I havent really been able to update the thread because of my exams
but here is what is now done.

Denting is complete and a namda applied on almost all the floor pans.
There was some Starting Issue,Merc did not start when it was cold,As it turns out that was due to faulty Heaters which i had to get replaced.Now It starts on half self (thats wat i have been told).
It will be going for wiring today.Genuine Loom is present and intact but the ends/conectors of the loom were altered .Will try to source genuine connectors AND OF COURSE THE MISSING INDICATOR ASSEMBLY.I got one but i dont think its of 200d.

they would trade soiled cards (which can be cleaned with soap and water) with fungus and rust? Pretty silly deal isnt it?
