Wagon R 2nd Gear pickup problem

I have driven two wagon r's owned by my friends. Both have this weird problem. Car have really bad pick in 2nd gear. In fact sometimes I had to go down to 1st gear so I could get some speed and then in 3rd gear. In 2nd gear, it does not pick any speed and show very slow increase in rpm even if you push the accelerator to maximum. I want to know if others are having the same issue and is there any fix for this.

I am also facing the same issue with my wagon r 2017. Sometimes in 2nd gear car gives no response for 4 to 5 seconds even if the accelerator is pressed to maximum. Any one have the solution

I think this problem appeared after they replaced accelerator cable with sensor. It might be DBW lag.

Change the spark plug gap to 0.95 mm, problem will be solved. 3S change the gap to 0.9 for gud average. New cultus has the same issue, recommended air gap by suzuki manual for K10 engine is .95-1.05 mm. but Pathetic 3S dealers dnt know about it. Pick will also be improved. A lil effect will be on average,

I have the same issue but resolved. Please check ur floor mat.. there should be nothing down the accelator. Please cut your floor mat to adjust.. issue will be resolved.

I went to Suzuki 3S for throttle body service but they were reluctant to do so. As a first step, they changed the spark plugs and removed the floor mats beneath the accelerator. The issue seems to be resolved after that. Thank you guys for your replies.

I got throttle body service done after suffering from this issue for a month or so. The problem seems to be fixed now.

I am also facing the low pick up problem on 2nd gear and Suzuki 3S dealer on every schedule maintenance said Wagon R mein yeh company fault hai. Also done the throttle service but problem not resolved.

Yes Its a very common problem. The best way to fix is to get a throtle body service and then afterwards keep the air filter clean by getting it cleaned after every 500km.

I have sane issue of pick up..wagon r 2018 26000 km driven..throttle b clean krwalia, plugs b.. I alsobhave mehran 2016 model uski pick is wagon r sy kahin achi hai.. Yai to thaki thaki lagti hai.. High octane b use kia but Dont know kya masla hai..bought a month ago

You must clean the fuel pump and replace the spark plugs . Issue will be resolved
