Wagon r vs Faw V2, Want to make a quick decision

I am Planning to buy a new car. I have two options, Wagon R PKDM or FAW v2 as they are in same price range. Sold cultus 2009 recently

Comparison :
Comfort (ac, seating, and drive)
Need to keep it for at least 5 years and don't (or very rarely) wanna see the mechanics
Affordable maintenance (parts availability, cost, service etc)
Fuel avg (important to me)
Value for money
USAUGE:
1. Family car (3 Adults, 1 Child )
2. Will be driven within the city mostly in isb/rwp + 2 longs trips within a month to my village (Remote area, roads conditions are just like IJP road rawalpindi). Pindi/isb people knows the condition of IJP
3. Home-office-home (daily routine. distance covered will not be more than 20 km)

MY DRIVING STYLE:
1. Very careful and light foot
2 Treat my car like a family member. always change fluids and filters on time. pay attention to noises etc.

Please suggest which would suite my needs and also please mention the reasons of your suggestion for my awareness? Your suggestions are much appreciated.

P.S: I have done my homework and not considering any other ride so please don't suggest. it will only make me more confused.

WagonR my friend has FAW but he's not satisfied

FAW V2 is 1300 hatch back with spacious cabin better in drive comfort, it can not be compared with 1000 cc suzuki line up be it cultus or wagon R.

Wagon R any day...reliable as compared to chinese mall...moreover 3S are easily available. Excellent drive unlike conventional suzukis. Highest resale value is another plus point. Buy whatever u want but dont buy chinese. Vehicle is an important asset so it should be worth each penny you spend.

FAW V2 all the way, the way you said that you drive carefully etc.
V2 will be very good for you. my friend has it for last 1.5 years and he is very happy with it. he also uses mainly for home-offine-home , also did a couple of long route trips .
its really worth the money plus the proper safety features , I would not compromise on safety of my loved ones for the sake of "so called" resale value. Car should be bought for its worth, comfort, safety and features which "you" benefit from.. not with the mentality of resale. if it gives you the comfort , ease of mind its more than worth it.

Recommend Wagon R

Only advantage FAW claiming by our fellows and in general is safety feature.

I think this safety feature is the least a man urge to be used / deployed, I am talking about Air bags, no one wants it to be deployed, however for a Chinese car I can understand it is available in specs. list theoretically, but who knows about its practicality (means its reliability to perform for what it has been made for).

With no offense to any one, I have seen few accident (video's on social media) in recent past for Pakistani made cars (very expensive sedans + hatchbacks) equipped with such safety feature, but it didn't help, as the structure of cars are not up to the International standards, body of car ripped apart, so in such situation what a safety feature like air bag can do ???

Safety is good to be kept in basket, but keep in mind at what cost, if a man like me who have bought a car from his hard earned money (savings and struggle of last so many years) I would definitely keep in mind the resale at the most front. The best solution is have safety + reliability + value for money + secured investment, but we Pakistani's middle class are not fortunate enough to have all these in one car

if you can stretch go for a Cultus.

FAW V2 looks good on paper and features wise. reliablity wise WagonR is a better option you can find service and parts every where.

in case of a bigger issue even FAW motors dont have parts readily avalible for FAW v2, i think they are neglecting the passenger car segment.

When would we learn that modern cars are designed to be safe under certain speeds?

Most of them are tested to be safe at cumulative impact speeds of 40km/h and 60km/h.

Wagon r reason simple being no one needs such airbag when your keeps giving you tidbits of problems here & there & you're stuck to deal with poor stealership also I have sit in both comfort I didn't find Faw comfortable , & since faw is 1300 cc fuel economy winner is also Wagon, R ,if i was you in ur situation I would have went with Japanese Passo or something like that

Today i have visited both dealer ships of FAW and suzuki and personally inspected both cars with my 3 friends.
FAW V2 is ahead in features n exterior. Leg space is good, trunk is very spacious but interior quality is not up to mark. Looks like a very cheap built interior, plastic quality is not fine. Even the engine built quality is not fine. Really disoppointed to see the interior. Speed o meter is just like 3 little round clocks. Doors have no weight, that clearly shows lack of packing in doors. One of my friend likes the car, other 2 a big NO !. Test drive option is not available at FAW i9.
Now wagan r .. aaaaahhh, the only choice i have left.
Wagon r is spacious. Interior is good. i like the sterring position, Trunk space is reasonable not as FAW. Sitting on back seats of wagon r is just like u r siiting in rikshaw. Suzuki again no rear power windows, no ABS, no air bags, Exterior of wagon r ... no comments. Everyone knows.

Choose safety Vs resale. Rest everything can be added. You will not get airbags, crash beam, abs, ebd and crumple zones in wagon road can not be added

3 years ago I was in same dilemma which one to buy but then went for wagonR. I just cant bear the interior of FAW V2 although exterior of wagonR is also quite bad but still roomy cabin and good interior was the plus points.
Regarding wagonR note the following points
Cons
1- Average is not great as claimed by suzuki its 12.5 - 13.5 at max with ac and 14 to 14.5 in winters.
2- Parts are available but they are quite expensive. The side door mirror cost me 15k a year ago.
3- Seating comfort is acceptable only for short distances but if your daily trip is about 60km or more then you will not be comfortable.
Pros
1- for daily travel of <50 km it does its job quite well.
2- in 3 years time didn't see any mechanic just the 5000 cycle maintenance.
3- AC is brilliant !!!
4- Resale; its a cash cow simple as that.
Considering all above I would still say to go for cultus vxr if not then wagonR. Avg of cultus is much much better as well as shape.

Test drive for V2 is available in I-9. Booking two V2 units and test drive was offered on inquiry.

If you love your family and you drive with them often, get V2 since it offers safety features which Suzuki does not offer in this price, namely airbags, ABS+EBD, etc. You will take a dent in resale but otherwise V2 is the better car.

Rest, it is a subjective choice so do what suits you and satisfies you.
